Hello,
Imagine - EDF which generates 25kg thrust with a power of 24s, 15000mah 25c battery.

If I calculate flight time -
No.of minutes in a hour           = 60
Discharge Rate of Battery       = 25C
So, 60/25 = 2.4min.

If I calculate I get only 2.4min.
If i want to extend the flight time what can I do???

As I explained to you already, discharge rating is used to calculate the maximum amount of current a battery is capable of delivering. A 15000mah 25c battery is capable of delivering a maximum of 15*25A constantly. The motor doesn't necessarily consume 375A of current. The current consumed varies and is usually on the lower side. We can't help you with the battery life estimation unless you give us more details of the motor, maybe it's datasheet? We also need to know more details about the aircraft. Since I know that you are interested in EDF jets, I'll let you know that jets don't produce as much lift as a glider and hence would generally require more power than a similarly weighed glider and hence you'll get a much lower flight time.

Ok bro.
But edfs looks quite pretty.
That's why I got to EDFs.
You may ask me to use turbines.
But I don't want to as it causes pollution.
I don't want to be a source of air pollution.
So, Anyway thankyou for your suggestion.
If you have solutions for EDF jets flight time kindly inform me

Thank you once again

What do you think would happen when your lipos go bad, disposing lipo is much more of a hassle, if your lipo catch fire they gonna create more air pollution! How do plan on making your aircraft? Sure it requires you to either cut or glue material which either release dust or fumes again source of air pollution!

The process of making batteries currently isn't very eco friendly either.

He is a school going kid.
Dear Kaushik .... as we discussed in pms many times please concentrate on begin line and not try to jump into the end line...like 1000kgs payload on epp foam etc.... else you may soon loose interest and miss this wonderful hobby.

You can consider the link Prabal provided...its from the same site we discussed earlier.

@kaushik s,

Let me give you a simple example.

Assume you have 6 idlis available.
If you eat 6 at a time, they will last for 1 day
If you eat 3 at a time, they will last for 2 days
If you eat 2 at a time, they will last for 3 days

Same with duration from lipos.

Regards

Thats an interesting way with idli.
May I suggest making a 1:10 scale model of the 1000kg model . Many problems would get sorted. With less costly waste. ;-)

A 1/10 scale model of a 1000kg model will weigh 100kg, or enough for an unsolicited entry into jail.

Why even there is a record of 150kg Concorde RC

Why even there is a record of 150kg Concorde RC
The owner of that Concord needs special permissions and certification from concerned authorities to operate his vehicle, without those it's just a static display model!

What everyone has been trying to say here is that you start small, learn the basics !

Get an EDF Jet or build a single Edf powered aircraft, the FT Viggen from flite test could be a starting point. Once you understand how things work out try building a 2kg model then 5kg model then 10kg model and so on. This way you'll learn alot! I'm sure money isn't a issue in your case as you mentioned earlier!

Take for example Ramy Rc on YouTube that guy has built amazing scale airliners out of foam and now he builds composite scale airliners, so you can see the way he has progressed over the years!

Right.

BTW, last few years I’d been offering a prize of Rs 1000 for a 10 second flight, Rs 2000 for 20 seconds etc. Two other members offered to match the prize money.
Unfortunately no one could put up even a 10 second flight, so after 3-4 years, the prize offer was withdrawn.

It’s only a token prize, but would you like to try? Offer closes at 9pm on Sunday the 11th Oct.

I look forward to you attempting a 10 second flight.
No restrictions. RC, free flight, balsa, depron, coro, paper, engine, electric, rubber power, no power, frisbee, boomerang, ANYTHING.

Best wishes.
