Hello everyone,
recently i found a couple of single cell lipo batteries that are used in cell phone (chinese ones ment for iphone) rated at 3.7V 2200mah and 3.7V 5000mah at a very reasionable price (rs. 120 and rs. 165 respectively). So i was wondring is it possible to make a lipo battery pack out of it by connecting these in the desired configuration?
I am not able to understand the following things-
1)  how to determine the capacity of the cells (c rating) as it was not mentioned any where
2) should i solder wires directly to the small copper strips on the battery or should i remove the little circuitry attached to the battery and solder the wires directly to the battery leads?
3) what this small circuitry is ment for?
4) how to charge the battery if i somehow manage to make a battery pack?
any help will be appreciated b'coz money is scarce and this diy battery pack would help in saving some.
-regards, Bilal

Generally the 'C' rating of cell phone batteries are very low , about 5-6C.
And how many cells are you planning to solder in one pack ?
Now days Lipo's have become so cheap , i think you could get it cheaper than make it.
