laptop battery cell are good as they have low discharge rate...but the only problem is the size. they are very big as compared to lipo. making a 3cell pack will not fit in TX. i have used 3 cell laptop cell pack in my futaba, taped at the back of the tx.

Hi Vineet, I experienced the same thing with my E-sky. The AA batteries do make the Tx hot. If continued using for a longer period they might even damage the Tx. (which is what happened with my E-sky :banghead: )

I would suggest you to use the recommended batteries. Even though the rechargeable packs are costly, they are a good investment as they last long and you don't have to worry about your radio getting hot!
