Makes no difference.Unless you have the newer Low Self Discharge cells, they will discharge by themselves pretty rapidly.

I am not too sure about your question re: "discharge rate". Do you mean the maximum discharge rate?

1C is equivalent to the rated capacity. For example, for a 2200mAH cell the 1C charge or discharge rate would be 2.2A.

Anwar. My favourite would have been NiCds if they were still being made in higher capacities. Seemed more robust and never took you by surprise. But the LSD types have made NiMh workable and cost effective.

I read about (and have been following) the practice of C/10 charging when you bring an NiMH out of hibernation, regardless of what charge level it went into hibernation.

Not sure how much truth is there in the need for periodic reviving of NiMH cells during looooong term storage.

Keep it at storage charge, no need to recycle.

All lipos are stored and shipped at storage charge (from resellers).

If you have any means of verifying it, you can do so (just for your peace of mind). You should not have to !  On a 3s lipo, the voltage across the pack should be around 11.1v to 11.7v (3 x 3.7v to 3 x 3.9v)

Store Lipos at 3.85v per cell. this is the best storage voltage identified for Lipos. most of the common 50Watt chargers like Turnigy Accucell6 or Hot Power or Imax B6, etc have a program (Storage mode) to charge/discharge the lipos to 3.85v each.

This has been the best proven way to store Lipos for longer periods. I personally had brand new Lipos over 1.5 years in storage mode. I had taken them out yesterday to check the performance. Worked absolutely like brand new.

Hope this helps.
