Is it really true that terminating lipo before 4.20 increase its life?
What are its pros and cons?

Yes. Charge it up to only 4.1V/cell and you can have almost double the life cycles.
I don't know about the lower limit of voltage/cell, but it will significantly affect the life cycles of a lipo.
