Title: Please help to figure out if battery is damaged or not Post by: yashsk8 on April 04, 2016, 09:56:38 PM I was about to fly this mini quad I have, but it kind of acted strangely and shot up straight into the sky.....Basically, I ended up crash landing it....
So I had this 3S wolfpack 1800 mAh battery in it which got very slightly bended at two places. I used the multimeter to check the voltage and it was all right. However, I did not charge or attempted to take a flight with it again. I want to make sure that the battery is safe before I use it again. Someone please help me on how I should proceed now. I have a imax B6 charger. Once try to use if it puffs slightly then it is in faulty condition.

Better charge it in a lipo safe/fire safe bag.....and OUTSIDE your house.... if charging in the house, please please keep a lose eye on the battery...and keep a fire extinguisher handy.... It may happen that the LiPo may not charge to its fullest. If the LiPo heats during charging(at 1C) discontinue using it.
