Hi,

I have got the below LiPo battery and charger from hobbyking

LiPo battery - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-battery-nano-tech-3000mah-3s-25-50c-lipo-pack-xt-60.html

Charger - https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-p403-lipoly-life-ac-dc-battery-charger.html

I used the battery for a few days and wanted to re-charge it and it wouldn't charge from the charger(tried both AC and DC input). I tried to charge it from a friend's charger and it charged only 2 cells. Just with the voltage from 2 cells is not enough to run my drone motors.
I need help on what to do next? Is there anybody who can help me in Bangalore to take a look at the LiPo batteries and get it charged, and help me figure out why my charger is not working for this battery(my charger works with my friend's LiPo battery).

I want to try and get this working as I have hardly used this and don't want to buy another one(more time and money wasted) before trying other options to make this work.
Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Shubhada.

Suggest you check the voltage of all 3 cells with a cell checker.

If any single cell is below 3.1 V, chances are your battery is kaput.

If cell readings are ok, use your friend's charger or any other known working charger and give your battery a balancing charge at 100 - 300 mAh rate.

Do this in a Liposafe bag.

If your battery voltage comes up on all cells to peak, give it a discharge to storage at about 500 - 700 mAh rate.

Leave the battery alone for about 24 hrs and again check voltage of all 3 cells.

If each cell shows close to 3.8 V, you are good to go.

Cheers and happy landings !

Hi,

Thanks for your response and really appreciate all the details you have shared.
One of my cell has no voltage at all... not sure how this happened. I guess I have to go for a new battery! Buying again from hobbyking will take 2-3 months to reach me as they don't ship it to India. I'll look it up on the web, but do you readily know of any good online store in India that I can buy a similar battery from?

Thanks much,
Shubhada.

Buy Tattu batteries from rcmumbai.

Bit expensive, but really good batteries.

Hope you find the specs you are looking for.

Cheers and happy landings !
