So you are looking for a 2s lipo and a charger for about $100 ?

In terms of brand chargers, there is Bantam, FMA/Cellpro, etc which are good chargers.  But a cell charger (which would make life long charger) from these brands would consume all of your budget, leaving nothing for the lipo.  You can go for 4s charger from these brands.

In terms of lipos, Hyperion, ThunderPower and FlightPower etc are the premium brands.

In terms of value for money, the HobbyKing ones are among the best choices.

Anwar sir, what about using 3s LiPOs?I just thought of a combo for Mr.Sai's website.A LiPO balnce charger
http://rcforall.co.in/product_info.php/cPath/42_48/products_id/335
still have to decide on the battery, will do so after some calculations. And yeah,I forgot to mention that I will be buying a LiPO safety bag  from Mr.Sai.

I did see one desire power LiPO t Mr.Sai's shop and its continuous current was 32.5 amps and burst current was 65 amps.http://rcforall.co.in/product_info.php/cPath/42_43/products_id/312but on the internet,I read that the motor can handle 25a continuous and 50a burst. So,Should I go for a battery that gives a current lesser than this or buy one which gives more than this?(comparatively of course)

Ah, I thought you were looking at getting from the USA.

The battery being capable of higher discharge is a good thing.  It is capable of delivering more amps when needed, but for a  given motor/prop combo, it is the motor/prop combo (and other things like weight of the model, throttle position, orientation of the aircraft etc) that decides how many amps are pulled out of the battery. The battery being itself capable of delivering more amps does not mean that it will constantly dump higher amps to the motor unnecessarily.

Well, yeah. If the combo is cheaper in the US,then I will  certainly go for it.If it is not possible, then these will be the alternatives. And,I will be using it for a car. So,(I guess)there will not be much of the prop calculation thing. But weight will be a factor. The rating given is the max without load right? So with load,it need not be that high.If you can suggest some brands and some models,I will check them at an online store, make the payment and get my stuff by the end of this month.

My advice is not to jump into 3s yet... First get used to the free Nimh batt. that comes with the e revo itself... It's plenty hard to control at 6 cell nimh from what ive seen... 2s is crazy and 3s makes it stupid fast and uncontrollable... And seeing this is your 1st car, your gonna have to learn the throttle and steering at that speed... So stick to the 6 cell and keep the dual rates low for the first few runs... Also 3s is lowly to burn your motor and destroy your drivetrain...

Hi

From my personal experience branded LiPo batteries are not at all cheap in the US. More than that some local shops buy cheap LiPo's from Hong Kong and re brand it using their own stickers. Buying from Hobbyking.com will be your best choice, I assume.

Basically, one can almost argue that lipos made electric RC flight possible.  Among the widely available battery types, they have the highest performance (for given weight). When it comes to cars, you have choices, and NiMH batteries also work well, and are still widely used.

One thing is true. Most people go for brushless lipo setups after a while for their cars.
