yes krish , some batteries come with xt60 connectors connected to them (by default)..but if not then we have to solder them ourself...if you have these connectors then well and good, if not you have to buy these connectors from shop, these connectors cost  :Rs:45 per piece...

Krish,

your battery came with a JST connector and you need a matching opposite JST male connector on your ESC. This connector is used for low current applications because they are lighter and smaller than other connectors. If your ESC has an XT-60 male connector you can replace the battery's JST connector with a female XT-60 connector.

Information sharing improves knowledge of both.

Husain,

I am not discouraging the pro, but the battery have a safe discharge value in addition to the voltage. Just consider the wire cross-section of ESC Power and the battery terminals. So, the battery is not made for high discharge capacity. So taking high discharge current more than it's capacity generate gassing inside the cells and may explode.

If we ashume, that the battery is 2S (7.4 volt) and motor is 120 watt, ESC efficency is 90%, current would be 18A without considering the BEC. So taking 6A/sqmm current dencity, you need minimum 3sqmm cu wire instead of the thin wire(1sqmm). Again, the insulation is of PVC but not silicon/temperature withstanding material. But if the thin wire is made by silver by the pro, then it's OK.

Moreover, the LiPO specially in series needs balance charging with ovecharge protection for each individual cell, but no balance charging terminals found here.

So, I doubt that pro means here programmer instead of professional.  Wink

An ESC manual is given herewith. It's my turnigy.

We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

800mAH at 20C would be 16amps (in theory, and upto 24amps if you consider the 30C burst rates).... so better to change the battery connector to something that can handle higher current than JST (which is typically rated for around 5A to 10A).

Be careful when you cut battery connector wires, cut one at a time and do NOT let the exposed wires touch each other.

If you are getting a new ESC, it seems to make sense to get a higher amps one.

Regarding the connector, there are many choices, including XT60 and deans (and possibly micro deans if you have weight concerns).  Depending on your intended application (and the rest of your power system), you may be able to get away even with JSTs.

Learning to Fly

I had purchased quite a few Lipos that came with JST connectors, I have replaced all of them with XT60. I have multiple ESCs with different ratings from 12 ams to 40amps - so having one type of battery/esc connector works for me.
