Similar models are available locally too, of course some price difference is expected (it is hard to match HK for price in general on their fast moving items).

You have the look around the mega list of outlets (http://www.rcindia.org/rc-outlets-and-resellers/mega-list-of-all-rc-outlets-in-india/).

For example, this one can take direct A/C input, so it comes pretty close to the Accucel-6 charger, the required 5A adapter (which is around $10), then you add shipping and possible customs.

http://rotor.co.in/show-detail.asp?prodid={D3C4B61F-213F-4873-A6CF-8DC11300A4B4}&pn=1

There are also used ones like one here : http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/selling-my-entire-rc-stuff/

Sure.  Not a budget charger though Smiley

And frankly, I have only seen the Accucel-6 being off by 0.1v between cells after balancing (and yes, there could be measurement anomalies also).

just read the reviews and see.

The ICharger is a supreme charger if you want to charge large batteries. But if you are charging multiple small batteries (like I have 8 X 2200 batteries) then the turnigy 4 in 1 charger is a good go as you can charge at once 8 batteries using a splitter. BTW both are not budget chargers.

Also if you buy accucel then you need to buy a powersupply.
On the other hand I brought THunder AC6 with built in power supply, but the built in power supply was bad, I again ended up buying and using a computer powersupply for power source.

So it all depends on money and what you use for.

If I was to buy now, I would have brought a accucel and a separate power supply as accucel is small to carry to field and charge using battery. But if carry in a car, then does not make any difference.

+1 for iCharger...I have read all good review about that... Otherwise Turnigy/Accucell ones are best bang for money, unless you have the Extraa $$ for super accurate balancing. With my SkyRC A6 charger ($59 inbuilt 5A Adapter), I get reasonable accurate charging (+/- 0.03v)

HC Prices are hard to get in India due to import, margin, volume  other reasons.  The best you can have are :

GT Power(they are good ), Rs 3900+
http://www.rotor.co.in/show-detail.asp?prodid={D3C4B61F-213F-4873-A6CF-8DC11300A4B4}&pn=1

This is at least a known brand and price is attractive compared to other sellers .

Hi,

I have recently bought this charger.

http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=6792

I hope it clears the customs  Tongue it is coming through EMS. does any one have experience with EMS from Hobby city... Last orders I had placed were through normal posts and they got delivered without any customs or charges. (though pretty late)

The total orger is for USD 216 this time including $52 shipping.

Cheers

I am using a BC 6 which, as far as I know, is the same without the internal power supply. Works fine.
