Title: your valuable input on lipo
Post by: johnsonrego on December 28, 2012, 09:58:22 PM
Hello friends,
Two questions---- for my lipo 3s
1. My charger is showing voltage of 4.15, 4,16, 0v on each cell.is the battery dead?
2. I have charger AP606 showing "connection break error" for the same lipo. Is the lipo dead or can it be trouble shooted?

Regards
Johnson

Probably the last wire of the balance plug connected to the batttery may be broken at the connection within the pack or in between the two ends.

What about the total voltage of the battery pack measures at the connector?

Does your charger support fast charging(not balance). Check that. If it works, then examine your balance plug as suggested by santosh-r.

I checked voltage on the main supply, shows zero voltage. My charger dont have direct charging facility. Is it possible to charge lipo if one cell goes to zero voltage?

How can your total voltage be shown as 0v when 2 of the cells show 4.15 and 4.16.There's something wrong with the voltage sensor or the connectors

Now ,its simply understood that one of the cells (last one) have died and made a open circuit, thats it...
If you want to use the other two cells , you have to open the pack and remove the last cell and solder the connector cable to the good cells so that your 3 cell pack now becomes 2 cell. Or if you donot want to take risks just put it in the garbage....  :)
