Title: a good rc plane simulator for a head start

       i want a good simulator so i can get a head start in the rc plane field . i would like if you would give me some suggestions, ideas ,advice .i think this a faq for many beginners.

dunno about planes but for helis phoenix is the best and far from the most expensive

The FMS is also a good free of cost simulator for airplanes as well as Helis.

It can be searched easily on google and easy to download without any cost.

Many more models are also available to run in FMS.

You can use your radio or keyboard to fly.

Even I am using HK 2.4Ghz 6Ch transmitter to fly in FMS.

If you are just venturing into the RC world then FMS is a pretty good choice to start honing your skills. Later you may opt for better sims like Realflight, Aerofly, Pheonix, etc. Remember to use a tx to fly in the sim, using a gamepad or for worse the keyboard will not help much to learn the controls.

Phew...I am exhausted...after googling for a whole 2 days and trying every available free sims after downloading, I found RC Desk pilot. I found this is the only free RC that is very good. FMS is ok but  response in RC Desk pilot is much better, better graphics, more features that FMS. http://rcdeskpilot.com/ and works with your own tx.

Of course, the commercial ones are fantastic but I will probably settle for a free one like RC Desk. Either way I can get another good plane for the price of a sim and moreover sim can never replace the real experience.

Clearview is a good sim but again, I don't have the dollars. Jacks hobbies in Hyd (www.jackshobbies.in/products.aspx?id=33) is selling bundled sims like realflight, aerofly, phoenix, reflex. It costs Rs. 4000.

Couldn't find the one on Jacks but I have a feeling that it is the same one as this

I think the link to jackhobbies I provided earlier does not work. Goto www.jackshobbies.in and look for the link to "R/C Flight Simulator" on the home page itself. You cannot miss it. I am not sure if it is the same at RC Dhamaka. I believe it is some chinese software.

Its the same one that RCD is selling for less than 1500. Take your pick.
