Hi,

On its maiden flight my FT Spitfire crashed. The Rubber band on the fuselage ripped from one side (see photos) and the wooden firewall shattered in few pieces.

Would be grateful if anyone of you could advise me on how to repair the fuselage. I feel that if I glue the ripped edge, it would not be as stable as before.

Please share pics.

If you glue properly.... matching the exact corners and edges... it should be good.. but don't use epoxy...too heavy to bring back the same stability....one option is silicone glue.

Rather use epoxy then..... actually I never used hot glue that much... mainly used epoxy and silicon.

But no harm in trying. The CG may shift a bit. Need to adjust.

Which epoxy or silicon glue do you suggest?

Any 5mins...araldite, fevilite etc.
For silicon glue I don't remember any brand... they are available in craft / stationary shops.
