Title: Beginner FPV Quad Setup
Post by: Aurum on September 14, 2020, 12:08:01 AM
Hi everyone, I'm a beginner with drones the only ones I have flown extensively are the visio and the tello, I need your help now to work on a budget FPV drone setup.
I know that this will end up in a lot of typing for you guys but I would really appreciate your expertise here and your words of wisdom please.
I have been looking at the eachine cvatar and importing it is out of the question completely but the specs are something I would love to work with probably a 3inch cinewhoop setup and your plans and ideas if you have one in mind with locally sourced spares would be the best thing ever. Im looking to spend about 10k-15k on the drone alone not really looking at a racing 4s either a 3s would be just great, really appreciate your help with this.

Thank you for looking.

Hi,
I would suggest going for a fpv freestyle drone instead of a cinewhoop...
for 14-15k you can buy a pre-built FPV drone from iflight...
you can get the iflight nazgul5"...
if you are planning to build one please let me know i can help you with parts

Tujo RC told me that they will have it in stock in some time...but im not sure...so building one would be better

@Tarun thanks for the valuable inputs, I was also looking at Nazgul as an option or any other 3inch setup to keep the prices low, but as NItesh pointed out I have had very bad experiences with the customs in the past and after the China fiasco it's become worse is what I have been made to believe. Plus when the sellers import it they are no where close to their International price which I think could be a mix of shipping and customs clearance fees or just plain profits. Im left with two options now, either wait for the sellers to receive their imports stuck in transit or try and find parts and pieces from various websites and make one myself.

If I take the second route where do you recommend I start, any specification or list that you may have curated? Or any specific website that you would recommend?  ??? ???

@Nitesh I think your stuck in the same dilemma as me  ;D

@aurum same here bro even I'm searching for the nazgul 5 even if the dealer got the drone there is no where near to price of international market and also if you want to build the drone you will not get exact components you need to compromise with that ...and also Indian import rules have gone worse  you can't import anything at current scenario..

I would suggest tujorc and quadkart good website to look into

You can start here .... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK7IkctChu8&t=621s&ab_channel=Painless360

This is for cc3d FC a good to begin with but if you choose some other board... it will be similar.

Yes even if the nazgul is avialable in India it would easily come upto like 20-25k easily.....so I would suggest building a drone with parts available in Indian Market....

Frame: Martian II or gep RC Mark4
ESC : Mamba Stack (4in 1 esc and FC)
Motors : DYS Samguk
Battery and fpv camera and vtx your choice  :)

If you try to buy from abroad I bought a 1200mah lipo (https://www.ovonicshop.com/products/ovonic-120c-22-2v-6s-1200mah-lipo-battery-xt60-plug) last time and it took about 15 days to receive it. But you can also ask if they have a local dealer, it is faster to buy from them
