The question is, which beginner plane have you come across with the best ability to glide to a safe (as much as possible) landing if the flyer loses orientation, cuts throttle and then takes his hand off the sticks ?

Of course this assumes that there was sufficient altitude, CG was right, and the field was vast enough.

I have tried two of my planes, The Frog look like and the latest Light plane. Both will land safely once throttle is cut w/o any damage. i will show this thru a video if possible one of these days. Of course it shoul'nt be too windy.

Try the Easy Star anytime.... It has a groovy glide all on its own once pointed in the right direction with or without motor

The question needs some modification : provided you have not stalled the plane which has led to a nose dive or spiral vertically down  and subject to having enough altitude .If that be the case then  not much you can do .
Otherwise I think Slow Stick , MOSS  or any glider for that matter will  glide to relative safety

Though I have tried this many times, leaving the Xmitter and allowing the plane to land safely, it was difficult to take a video, simultaneusly alone.

Once you have decided to land, i had to keep the xmitter away, take the camera, show the xmitter for few seconds and then shoot the plane ascending and landing and again show the xmitter.
Did that OK, but since my camera do not adjust the focus during video (it focusses on the first shot, in this case the xmitter on the car bonnet), the focus is not good. Next time...
thanks for watching.

best regards
ashta
