Guys I am new to aeromodeling have got my electronics and have got myself a 1600KV motor can anybdy guide me on starter plane that would be easy to fly and build. I want to get a feel for my RC controller first, don't want to end up spending a lot on crashed planes.

I would like to have those 2d development kind of planes that can be cut using a laser.

please guide me to any particular link.

The best plane (in my opinion) to go in for as a beginner would be a AXN floater or a HK Bixler, these planes are excellent and we have many people on our field flying the same. Feel free to call me for details...

Not sure what you mean by "2D type", but you can search for beginner high-wing models...

In my opinion the best is to look for a plane that can teach you to fly than for a plane that would suit your motor .

What is the technical name you cal these types of planes.

Pratheesh..contact, Sai Sir, or VC Sir, or Augustine Sir, or any Seniors, so you will get a clear idea..so, you can stop wandering behind unnecessary things, because all such persons are far experienced in RC flying..Anwar sab already gave you a link, is also far useful..so have a nice flying...

Pratheesh..from your posting, i got that you have a motor. but if you are serious about this RC flying, you must need a basic 4 channel radio at least. can go for up to 6 or 9 channels,as you progress in this segment. basically we need a 4 channel radio, to control, the THROTTLE, AILERONS, ELEVATORS, and RUDDER. you can also fly with 3 channel, by avoiding the AILERONS. but a craft with AILERONS is a good bet.

a HIGH WING trainer model will be a nice choice, as you are a beginner. you can buy an RTF (ready to fly), high wing trainer from an authorized source.you can see, that now an rc aircraft is less expensive.but highly functional.

whenever we enters in to the rc flying, at first, make sure your aircraft is perfect. why..? because, as you are a beginner, mustnt have the perfect idea about the nature of the aircraft in air..so when your craft goes out of control, you will panic, and with that panic, you will give stick inputs fast, and ..doomed...

so at first try to choose a good balanced airframe, a high wing, because a good balanced plane will compromise your false inputs to a great extent..so, i request you to ask, to seniors, with ample of flying experiences..they will guide you to select the beast trainer model for you..

and if you are extremely willing to make your own, make a slow flier at first, to avoid crash. a good desperate crash can take you out from rc flying..so you can make aircrafts from, depron, thermocol, or with coro..options are many..but never forget to choose an aircraft with high wing configuration..

you can choose the best motor, ESC, battery pack,along with prop, by looking in our forum postings..read a lots at first..do some research works your own..and follow..but i hope buying a good trainer will be a good option, at first, because such aircrafts will be proven in performance and balance..so you can concentrate in to flying, instead of studying about the nature of the aircraft itself...i hope, many seniors can help you lots as you can see many postings all over our forums..have a nice flying...

   A friend has one of these and that also in my budget, I have been adviced to take a HX bixler but my budget wont allow me. So what do you think ?

pratheesh..its a nice choice..i hope its a craft with three channel.its enough for a beginner. make sure that plane behaves well..and after that you can go for a 4 channel one, or you can make from foam, or thermocol..a model of a microlite will be easier to make, light, and fly..if you make a micro, then you wont even a wing , instead, you can fly it with tubed wing, with a depron, or umbrella cloth over it...have a nice flight..

Pratheesh..from your second picture, i hope that you have fixed the wing in a wrong manner..means i hope the leading edge is facing towards tail of the craft..isn't it..? flying a craft from RTF , and making your own are differ..an a quality RTF model from a reputed model supplier will be a proven one in performance. but making your own is some different experience, especially  as you are a beginner. so, learn to fly from a good proven platform, at first then you can make any type of aircrafts ..

usually, a student pilot is required to learn, with an instructor, near, holding the TX with trainer cord, in his hand, to correct any error, or panic entries,from the student pilot, all for, to avoiding the crash and fatal loss...

but it is not essential, that you need an instructor, but if you have enough confidence, with you. so, you can make planes from inexpensive materials, and can try..you can get loads of plans from net...

Hi Doc Ansari,
I'm not sure if this is a good plane to learn on. Do look for a plane with a high wing and dihedral. The longest wing span that u can find and something which is forgiving.

i decided instead of buying a rtf and breaking it on the first day
i thought maybe i should just buy the parts and make my own high
wing trainer with good dihedral and learn on it by crashing it and rebuilding it..
at least the money i spent on the parts and radio will be an investment..

the motor has a max current of 25A. so you'll probably need an ESC at around the 30amp mark. the 20amp will not suffice.

your battery is going to be very heavy for the power setup. you'll have to cut down on the Mah ratings, somewhere around 1500mah should be the limit. but if you can make the plane VERY light, then that should not be a problem.

the radio is fantastic for the price! i have one of these, and its absolutely beautiful! (as long as you can carry a laptop everywhere just in case you forgot to reverse the servos! )

hello doc,have u decided the plane u wanna build? My advice is to build the plane first and choose the electronics..suppose the plane's AUW(All Up Weight) exceeds the max capable thrust of motor then the setup can't be used..if the plane is already built by some one and the AUW is known means u can choose the setup before building..All the best..
