RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Nitish - When you start a new topic, please take an extra 3 seconds of your precious time to spell words in full in the topic title.  This thread was named "best sim for begin".  Why "begin" and not "beginners" ?

Using the full word would make this thread show up in search results when people search using proper/full words later on, extending the usefulness of this thread.

I like RealFlight for how realistic the controls and the flying space feels. Phoenix for all its options to setup the aircraft as close to your model as possible, the controls are still a bit twitchy though, not sure if that's a problem with my Windows 8.

Hate it when I have to get into this... Sad

Banning member rcrcnitish for a few days, until the member learns how to use the "search" functionality of the forum.  About 10 members have requested admins to limit abuse of the forum by this member, by repeatedly asking questions already raised/answered, excessive use of smilies etc.

Will unban after a week. Hopefully a week of silence would be enough to let the member figure out the search functionality.

Some sims are made for Fun and by far the best for fun would be Real Flight, especially in On-Line mode with fighter planes with a group of flyers. I think Aerofly RC7 would be the best for actual flight mechanics and Phoenix sort of between the two for both. I have them all installed and I've had years of experience flying them all.

By far the best Sim for the more serious flyer would be X-Plane. To fly it you literally do exactly the same as a real pilot. Every switch, button and lever is usable and if you can fly the sim there's no reason why you couldn't fly the real thing. I've flown a 757 on a world tour in real time. OK I did sleep and eat by using auto pilot but real pilots do that too :-)

For the geek or teacher there's Prepar3D and others I have installed is Reflex, Clearview, MSFlight, MSFSX, 9, Both Real Flight and Aerofly is available in a cut down beginners form (cheaper)

The problem you're having with FMS may be because you're using an NVidia card. FMS simply doesn't like them.

If you need any help (apart from installations) please give me a call. Please note, your choice should also take the speed of your computer system into account. Sims such Aerofly RC7, XPlane, and the MS Sims, Prepar3D do need a good system to work at full resolution.
