RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Although this is specific to a particular model (which will always be the case with these tutorial videos), the series of 12 videos illustrate many aspects of building a foamie ARF plane.  It illustrates the use of foam safe CA, CA kicker/activator, etc very nicely.

Only the first video is posted, but the others can be easily located using the "Related videos" option of Youtube, where they show up on the right side.

This TBird plane is also interesting for its use of "air-brakes" which slows the plane down, making it well suited for slow indoor pattern flight (or even outdoor on calm days).

Practice, and only Practice will make you perfect

.. use of "air-brakes" which slows the plane down

actually airbrakes modifies the airflow ahead and makes a flat plate foamie behave like a aerofoil, carefully cut holes does not allow the stagnation point to break away from the airflow, difference can be seen the moment you remove the airbrakes, she goes back to her old ways of behaving like a flat plate profile aeroplane,
more of it the aerodynamics thread later

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can’t get it wrong.
