Title: Buying a RC plane from Banggod
Post by: NithinB on August 01, 2018, 12:46:23 PM
Hey all,
I have an query, I wanted to purchase a RC plane and I found Cessna 182 micro model. Now my question is, Is it allowed to import RC plane to India. Will I face customs issue as I heard importing drones is banned in India. Does RC plane come in drone section. Also the package comes with 2.4GHZ TX RX, so can import both of these without any custom problems. If so, Should I have to pay extra amount to the customs office to recieve my product or will my purchase get ceased by the customs office?

Dude, don't listen to this guy, Don't take a risk buying through banggood. Either it will luckily clear the customs or it will get confiscated and you will lose your money. The chances of clearing customs is very small. You can import a model plane through banggood. But, if it contains a transmitter, its illegal. Buy those things through local LHS. There are plenty of Indian websites containing WL-F949. Buy those here itself.

Bro, these rc planes containing transmitters have a very small range. So, One cannot use it as a hobby grade plane. It's a toy grade plane. For a beginner, I'd suggest getting a cheap Transmitter. You can use many models you are going to buy with that. There are plenty of rtf models available at sites like RCBazaar.com etc. You can check the list of rc sites in India through the forum.
