Athmiya, you may try with   ENR, i remember him selling glider kit having wing span more than 1.5m ( not sure about the span) for around 2.5k. it is glow powered 2 channel. hope it will suite your budget depending upon the the radio you go for it. i really dont know what is your exact requirement. this just for your information.
meanwhile RCD is also coming with multiplex.

i need a glider with 2.5 - 5 foot wingspan

If you are interested, let me know and I may sell off my Great Planes Spirit 2 M Glider. This is for Radio control and you would have to put in your radio, engine and battery.
Will try and post some pictures tonight.
Only down side, not willing to ship it and would have to be local pickup

SANDING BLOCK:

Why use it?
Well i find it easier to use for sanding than using the sand paper directly (personal opinion) , and it helps remove an even layer of material - avoids hills and valleys Cheesy

How to make?

All you need is a piece of wood of a suitable size - should be comfortable to hold. I used a standard wooden duster ( guess where i got it from Smiley ). The dusting surface helps in clean up operation. The sand paper is stuck onto one side and you are ready to go.

To have even sanding it is important that the surface onto which the sandpaper is pasted should be level and flat! Just place a 80 grade sand paper on a flat glass plane (like the glass top of a table) and sand one face of the wooden block till its flat enough. Glass serves as a good reference for flatness as it is always perfectly level. Once done paste the sand paper onto this surface with fevicol or two-sided tape (the extremely thin one).

When the sandpaper is exhausted peel it off ,  sand the block on sandpaper-glass combo as earlier to get rid of the dried glue and to return a flat surface to the block so that a new strip of sand paper can be pasted.

Using a sanding block has helped a lot in avoiding uneven and bumpy surfaces during corse sanding in the initial stages. Final , smooth sanding can be done directly with sandpaper.

Cheers Smiley

I have bought Millenium and Magpie from VC. VC is the boss of gliders. The kits are really good. Even with a poor workmanship of mine, millenium is flying nicely. I am yet to start the magpie.

You will get it at stationary stores. It is clay used by school kids for modeling. Im sure you will find it in a store which sells notebooks, pens etc..
