Hello guys I'm a beginner, I had built a biplane recently and crashed it ???,  however I have built a Delta wing from Thermocol and its my second build but there are certain challenges which I am facing right now and I hope people here can help get flying ASAP.

Note : I have the required material to get it flying but I feel the battery is a bit heavy and theres a problem with the CG in my models.

Right now I have the following
1) RcB6i Tx & Rx - 6 channel
2) CF2822 motor - 1200KV
3) 30 amp ESC
4) 9g servo
5) 2200 mah 25 C LIPO

a) I need to know which of the above I can use in this Delta Wing.
b) also what propeller should I use and how do I mount the propeller..?
c) Should I mount it the Opposite way or mount it the normal way and reverse the motor direction?

if not then what others should I use

The dimension of the delta wing are as follows
Width : 37 inches
height : 18 inches

1) First I cut thermocol with the help of paper printouts

3) Next I cut out wing Shapes with a blade and used sand paper to get a nice finishing - I want to use this for the flaps

4) Next I cut out strips to cover the back of the delta wing where the motor is mounted and pasted them (I dont know what its called)

5) Next I wanted it to look nice when its Flying so went to one of my friend to get it painted.. :) :)

I saw that you are using the normal foam for building your wing.
Dont use that. Instead try some high density foam.

And yes...
You will need all your components to make you delta wing fly.
I guess that the battery might be heavier for your frame, but do give it a try.

The propeller that you will need for the given KV rating of the motor will be 8 x 4 or 9 x 4.
Generally it is good to mount the motor at the rear for pusher configuration but I suggest that you put it in the front.
I will be easier for you to manage the CG while motor being in the front.

Thanks a lot for the advice sutar, will surely do that just now came back from rc bazaar with a 900mah 11.1 v battery so will try that battery out with a 8x4 prop. will post further details after the build.

sorry to say but the wing looks like a plank.... have you given aerofoil shape + it will be better for CG to have back sweep wing have a look at the below... also have a small prop with high Kv.... for the size youve mentioned go for 5x4  to 7x4 prop.

Hello guys made everything ready and took it for its maiden, the wing is made of normal foam was not very strong, had put on a cf 2822 motor and 3s 11.1 v bat and 2 receivers, i could not adjust the cg properly however when i was satisfied took it out and then with full throttle i threw it in the air.......

Everything was very quick she went straight had and banked towards the left i gave a sharp response by turning it right and then it just went down and crashed breaking it into 2 pieces   :banghead: :banghead:

Thanks for sutars advice moved the motor in the front it was a bit more easy to handle..

If this is the first time you are trying to fly, whya re you trying to fly a wing in the first place. Learn on a trainer plane.

Yes I was thinking the same could you guide me to some Plans. I would really appreciate it.  :help:

I would strongly recommend you to buy a kit rather than build one yourself. This way you can focus more on flying at this stage rather than going into the intricacies of building one.  Sky Surfer if you are budget concious, Easy star if you are not.

Still if you want to build one yourself, you can search for Blu baby, STC or any high winger trainer plane on Google.

this is an awesome plane. i have made this plane with corroplast, normal thermocole and everything was flying perfectly so far.
luckily the electronics used are the same as yours. 3S 2200mah lipo, cf2812 motor on a 8X4 SF propeller. since you already have all the electronics, try cutting a corroplast and completing the plane. if you need any help have a look at my thread here

V2 eagle this stuff looks great and easy its awesome, I'm planning to start on it next weekend will surely post the build log.

you can use normal stationary thermocole and laminate them with tissue paper and fevicol+water mix. and allow it to dry for a day. a little long work to do but the result will be awesome. its too light that it was just 400gms on 2200mah battery. flew amazingly well. but become heavy after few months due to moisture absorbed. no worries,

Friends thanks for all the advice I finally built a model called FT Old fogey and flew it... flies really well :thumbsup:, instead of using 6mm depron I used 3mm core flute it was more light but less stable, crashed it couple of times after that tuned the controls and flew them flies like an angel i will post the videos here... :salute: :salute:
