Due to heat either from Battery or 30 amp ESC, my Skysurfer EPO has got a bulge near side of nose. Also need to rebound the joint of Aileron as afraid it will come out. What's the best way to repair it.

Another thing is when I put the carbon road to both the side wings it gets loosen and wings moves out a bit. Will binding it with Velcro or rubber band will help?

Hi vinay,

Try to fix those problems using epoxy araldite you can find it in any local hardware store or you can also apply fevicol mixed with water and wait till water evaporate. And to fix battery or esc heating problem use a thick balsa wood to avoid contact of battery or esc with foam.

Regards.

What motor are you using and whats the capacity and discharge rate. Battery should never heat up, because if it is you are overdrawing from it, which would damage the battery. A lil warm is alright. And placing the esc outside, ahead of the motor would be a better idea, since it would get better air cooling. You can see how its mounted in the video below.

Similarly to fix your aileron joint, you can use tape along its length. You can see how its done @

As for the wings coming off, velcro wont be strong enough I guess. Fixing the wings permanently is the only solution I see, or you can use strong rubber bands with some groves on the wing, so that the rubber band doesn't slip off.

Hi RC Hyd and Sidewinder,

Thank a lot for suggestion and Video link. Will try as suggested and will revert. The heating prob is with ESC so will put a piece of Balsa to avoid contact with foam.
