Post by: MKARTIKGANDHI on August 07, 2014, 09:40:43 PM
i am staring this thread so in the hope that every person who is an FPV pilot and all who are starting to learn FPV. post your problems relating to fpv flying and all who are experienced in fpv to help us....

and request to experienced pilots is that share your stories specially mistakes made(crashes) by you and also flight videos youtube links will do the job
and please avoid taking about fpv equipment those discussions are in plenty in this website

:banghead:BECOZ THROUGH A CAMERA ONBOARD WORLD SEEMS VERY DIFFERENT PLACE THEN IN REAL LIFE :hatsoff:

today i almost lost my hubsan quad in field ... (thank god clouds just passed by without a single drop)and dont have a single clue what went wrong
here are some points which i noticed while flying :-
1 it was hard to guess how much distance i crossed and whats the speed of quad ....hard to tell hight through camera....(i am not using OSD)
2 most of all my direction sense was pretty much lost ....
3 i found that your head movements are also a big problem...big coz of orientation loss...(i am using fpv glasses 52' virtual screen )
4 i did a slow fly inside home with goggles but this was firt time in field and it was scary to look at your model flying away from you...

i am using this RTF mini quad

+1 @ satyaji
Apm with gps and osd or naza m v2 with gps and iosd mini will always keep track of your takeoff position and help you get it back home

All people flying fpv specially using goggles use osd
U can see all long range videos will have osd

And at the starting when you are new to fpv first get comfortable flying just above you and never stop giving controls
My personal experience
When ever i stopped giving controls to my multirotor  i lost orientation and the. Would yaw it untill i saw my self or that unique tree where i stand

After that i never used it without iosdmini on my naza m v2
