I am from Pune and looking for guidance and a group who can share experience and mentor me in RC flying. 1) I am specifically interested in doing a scratch build (more interested in the building part of it from scratch than off the shelf planes). 2) I also want to be part of local group that flies often for more hands on exposure and to meet mentors and friends :) I have done initial research of basic components for building and using the plane. (Referring to some online videos) Any inputs will be most welcome. Many thanks in advance. 1) Pan card club - mostly electrics 2) hadapsar - nitro Since we (me and dad) would be just starting up I think we will go with electric and foam material (to survive the initial crashes :) ) Need some inputs on following:- 1) A plan for a good first build. (Don't want to go too basic here either) should be slow/medium speed flyer. 2) a reliable source for parts. Please advise good transmitter/receiver models? How many channels to begin with? I am E&TC engineer like to play with electronics stuff and very interested RC planes and quad-copters. I buy some parts for build my first RC plane like BLD,ESC,micro servo, propeller.
But need some guidance to build it. I am searching for shop where I get RC foam, If you know any please tell me. Any specific timings or any other locations near to PCMS ares? Title: Re: Greetings from Pune, seeking to join local group Post by: bijo on March 11, 2017, 02:45:11 PM Hi guys i am not from Pune but from Kalyan Mumbai but still like to help i dot know much about Pune & the Rc club over there but Rc yes i can help to begin with a high winger with a bit of dihedral wing for reference see cessna 182 and its a good plane to start with but before that get a good transmitter which has at least 6ch and also simulator to practice at home
