Hello all,

I am from Allahabad, UP. I have built one quad copter. But I really want to build rc plane.
I have absolutely no idea about it on what type of plane to start with. There are many videos and tutorials, but every author or creator has different opinion about what is the best type of plane to start with Huh?

Can you guys help me out?Huh?

Are you comfortable flying quad without FPV? If not, do some practice to get used to the different perspective flight (when quad and you are not facing in the same direction, can be tricky for beginners).

Then you can go for the slow flier trainer aircraft which you can crash frequently with minimal damage.

This thread can be a nice starting point: http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/scratch-build-slowfly-rc-plane-for-beginners-using-cheap-material(alternate-to-d/

It's using cheap thermocol with tracing paper. You can crash it and fix it with a few bucks.

Start with a good trainer kit (3ch) which can be upgraded to 4ch(ailerons) later. Build the model and get to know various things, use a sim to practice, select a model which can use your drone stuff like batteries, motor, bl-esc etc. Once you are comfortable flying - start scratch building  Smiley.

Note: not that one cant start flying with home made stuff.

Thank you guys.

@themaverick- yes I am comfortable flying without goggles, but I think I now need those Before getting into planes.

Really appreciate everyone.
