hii myself tejas
I have build my f-22 raptor. but i have an issue about the radar, since it has 2 parallel radars.
how can i control both radars using a single servo... ??? ???
i thought of connecting both the radars (movable part) by an icecream stick parallel to the wing...please give your opinion on this one and suggest me a better idea if there is any...i will post pics of my plane as soon as possible..

thank you for your help sir,this is a really good idea but i still have a problem, since in f-22 we use pushers,so we also use a back mounted motor ,this motor is placed just before the CG and leaves very less clearance between propeller and the elevator.

Thejas...here i am adding a simple drawing..but it is not much good in quality..if you need a good drawing i will do by pencil and post...its not to fix a servo near to the control surface.you can fix servo far from the surface to save space and can connect to the surface by thick fishing line..go to a hardware shop, or a shop who deals the curtains.and ask for the nylon twine that they used to fix the curtains with a metal eye..buy 3 or 4 meter as it costs a little...ok..then you can see its thickness will be within 1 or 2 mm according to the strength that you buy..buy 1 mm...and you can see its center will be hollow like a straw..then you can cut this tube according to your need and can insert the fishing line through it...so easy and simple but 100 % effective...you can also use the stainless steel wires that used to bind umbrella hub...it will be too thin but too stiff...can also insert through the tube...fixed...you can fix the servos far front, so you can get ample of space ..and CG balancing also can be easy...and one more request..all we know, that all modern fighters are based on high sophisticated technologies...for an example, an F 16 is fully controlled by many computer chips, in order to get balance...

so, such machines are controlled by the unique FBW, (fly by wire) principles. means each and every action of the aircraft will be monitored by many electronic sensors, all the while,and corrections will be done by the main CPU, by collecting datas from sensing cpu s.so, without the aid of these complicated electronics pilot will be too unable to fly the aircraft...so F22 is also far complicated in structure..so making such aero model will take ample of precise effort and material..i do not know that you are an expert flier or not...i think making a good normal airframe will be far easy and enjoyable...you can simply make aircrafts with thermocol, all in real shape, will be weightless than a ARF...after seasoning the thermocol will be stiffer than wood..and will withstand ample of crashes...can repair easily...any way cheers for the effort..have a nice flight... :hatsoff:

you can simply fix two identical surfaces by a simple cam, and one of the cam can be connected to the servo..its too easy to do...or you can buy specific servo, one with its arm, will slide instead of rotating..such servos will save ample of spaces and reduces fitting efforts...or making a simple screw jack mechanism from a tiny nut and bolt will be even more easier...you can fix the servo just under the aircraft if you are using a flexible linkage...thejas for scratch building options are many...choose appropriate thing...and you will succeed...good luck...make it fly...

you can make a F22 or a EF 2000 or a F15 all from thermocol...and then you will realize how easy it...i will make a modern fighter for you and will post here including the video..sure...

any one...you can strip some wooden reapers used for electrical wiring with a circular saw, in to 3mm X 3mm strips, and after making the wings by sanding it with a 60 or 80 grit paper at first, then with 400 grit, you can simply make some grooves over and under the wings by a kitchen knife and can insert the wooden strips..with some fevicol..Fevicol Marine will be even more stronger and water resistant..make sure to avoid using too much glue, over structure..will add weight unnecessarily..you can also use carbon fiber rods, to reinforce the wing and fuselage, but must take care that, carbon fiber will absorb the radio signal up to a great extent..

after making the aerofoil and fuselage make sure all things are in needed shape..you can use a template cut from paper as a guide of the shape...so now we have completed the main whole structure..i can give you two options to finish a wing or body from the thermocol...

mix 75% water to 25 % white PVA glue ( fevicol..or alike..) and mix well...then add some french chalk powder in it while stirring..make a good slurry with these combinations..leave about 10 minutes..then stir a little...apply all over the surface that you need to finish..after drying apply two more coats...

never apply thick coats ..but more thin coats will be the better option...leave it dry...never make it dry by direct sunlight...war page may occur instantly...after drying you will get an amazingly strong structure...but yes some heavy...take 400 or 600 grit, ( dust free is a best option) emery paper and sand it to smooth...and the excess weight also reduced...this combi can be used for big models..can use glow engines..up to 46 to 60...works nicely...and for lighter models i can give you the second option...

i have used some wooden strips 3mm x 3mm in my f-22 for reinforcement...they are better than carbon fiber rods...as they are least expensive
and where can i get this "french" chalk powder..

oh..sorry..one more point...collect some water based acrylic paints..(APEX..) and apply three thin coats...after drying use 1000 grit sanding paper and finish...now its water proofed...

now the second option...by this option you will get a rocky structure..stiffer than a balsa structure...and can be repaired easily..by part by part..repaint..fly again...i made one high wing aircraft around 2003 in to 54 inch wingspan..still flies...it was reinforced with wooden strips made out of tomato boxes.i will give you the second option tomorrow...time to medicine...and bed...good morning...

Thejassssss......!!!  french chalk powder is an inexpensive material...can buy from any paint shop...10 Rs for a Kilogram pack...here....

if you are weight concern you can stick the strips with Apex..or Ace..or any water based acrylic emulsion paints...when dried it will be stronger than white glue and water proof also...and weight will be far less than white glue...

Thejas..when we make a craft from entire scratch..it will be more satisfying and rewarding...and will be in a sheer joy as the craft flies or swims or drifts in front of us...make some easy crafts and master it...simply...and have some nice crafts....we meet tomorrow...

yes..French..is only name by..actually this powder is used to fill minor dents and flaws that happens in wooden doors or wooden surface..in that case Craftman mixes this powder with clear wood polishes, and fills..after drying papers...you can also mix this powder in to Apex like wall paints then you will get even more stiffness...avoid mixing too much water..but dont make it too dry...make a good paste that can be applied by a flat brush...avoid small brush..instead use a wide flat one..so can be avoided brush strokes...go to paint shop..and ask for french chalk powder..if theresnt i will courrier you...nice...
