The Rcindia website got me interested in this wonderful Hobby so bought a walkera 5g4 Helicopter from Rc sky hobby, New Delhi. As a total newbie tried my hands in flying the helicopter but during my second flight crashed it causing damage to the landing bars which has been broken into pieces , Can the seniors guide me from where the spare parts can be brought and is there any Rc group in UP which can guide me further with the controls as I am a total newbie

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

You can see the "Gems" list for a link on "searching members by city", I see there are many from Kanpur who have listed their skill level at "Intermediate".  There seems to be some activity at IITK too, so you may find people active in RC there.

Regarding spares, the place you bought it from would be the first place to try, and then try other listed hobby stores. If stuck, ordering from outside is an option, so also is trying to substitute blades with the ones from like the eSky helis (Lama etc) which are fairly common, and parts availability is better.

Welcome to RC world chintu...... Thumbs Up

Getting into the hobby is really wonderful, exciting, but like many people, in impulse, u also bought something which is really not for beginner!!! i am not discouraging u.... Head Scratching
this is great hobby, of course like other hobbies, but this needs proper guidance and training and lots of practice!!! you just cant buy anything and start on ur own.....needs proper training & guidance!!!

if there is no one to guide u personally then, u should try to get some knowledge while discussing with forum members, wat ur interest is and then slowly and steadily proceed.....
if u like helis then u should go for co-axial heli or a trainer plane.....

abt spares, i think for now u should concentrate on getting training kind of plane or heli, instead of spending money on spares.....

all the best

cheers

Dear Chintu, can you post some pictures so that we can see the exact extent of damage? Don't worry, if the damage is only physical, it can be repaired. The worthy seniors can guide you.

Cheers!

The jugaad builder

In mode two the stick on your right works as elevator (up/down) and rudder (left /right) , the left stick works as power(up/down) and ailerons (left/right) .
the other settins are
ELEV - elevator ( right stick forward /back)
AILE - aileron ( left stick)
THRO - throttle ( left stick forward back )
RUDD - rudder ( right stick left right )
with NOR and REV ( still dont get it what is this for) - Normal or reversed . Some people like the elevator to go up when they move the right stick forward ( a throw back to Play station and nintendo) otheres like it to go down when the press the stick forward ( like you have it in an aircraft ) .. so use this to configure that
AUX - im guessing this is the trainer connect ( just a guess )
BUZZ - Buzzer.use this channel to connect to a peizo buzzer. when u lose your plane in the wild, turn the buzzer on so you can find it using the sound.
