Title: Help with Heli....
Post by: ANTA on April 29, 2010, 06:48:59 PM
Hello all,
              I recently bought a heli.  (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSWV2** (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXSWV2**))
My problem is that when I try to take off, the heli moves backwards to left so as to roll. I made the adjustments exactly as shown in the instruction manual. I have only indoor co-axial heli flying experience. I don’t have an instructor to teach me and I got the lessons form a site. It will be very helpful if anybody guide me how to fly a heli.I am now practicing with my training gear, and not able to troubleshoot the problem.

thanks anwar...
Anta, this is a good heli but for a beginner its a bit twitchy... pls check your swash if its levelled on mid stick and no swash interaction all the way up and down... flying will be easy but get to learn the setup of this heli and this will be different from your coaxial heli..

do you have a pitch guage with you??... if yes level your swah (try to eyeball it, this will be more than enough for this small a heli),, see if the serovo arms are 90deg to the servo rods at mid stick... then accordingly play around your pitch range... i would prefer the below ( as i learnt it this way) pitch range...
-2 0 0 8 then later you can set up you idle and other pitch ranges once you are used to the heli... i used the radd method its did help me.. (many say this method is works for large sizes heli and not small but it worked for me)...

if you any more questions am sure this form will be able to answer
