Title: Hi am new here (Nikhil from Mysore)
Post by: NikhilBhoj on August 26, 2012, 09:59:00 PM
Hi guys,
All RC'ers :D
Im new to this hobby, i happened to buy a ordinary remote controlled Heli from Sapna book store. I dont even know whether i overpayed or what.

Anyway on of my relatives kids took it away. Im from Mysore, KARNATAKA. I was searching out for hobbyists in mysore and get to know more about RC helis/planes. I wish to buy something which runs on a fuel. As i find charging batter now and then is cumbersome.
Anyway. Guys help me out..i need to buy a new heli. Can i order anywhere online?

THanks

Nikhil Bhoj

i did some research and i came to know i shud be buying 4ch ones. i am training on some simulations. and it doesnt seems so easy either.. :) anyway im doing the sim on my android phone  ;D

Nikhil

though you can, but it is not advisable to get into heli straight, get into fixed wing then progress onto heli, transition will be easier, your orientation issues when the model faces you will be sorted out and psycho motor skills will improve for you to control the heli well,. My 2 anna bit, these are toy helis, you will grow out of it soon

PS
Welcome

Thanks man.
I had flown the 2ch Helis once. and i seemed to get a hang of so i thought of it.
Fixed wing u mean planes? I neither have a time or place nearby my home to fly them..either they ll stuck in some tree or wires :P
so thought of helis.

MOD EDIT

Hi guys i Recently bought a toy heli from Amit (4Channel) the first 1 day i  thrashed it...the wings got nipped so many times, i crashed here and there multiple times.i broke the first set of blades comletely. i did not give up...i tried for another day.
But now i can hover it and control as i want(at the stake of my blades). I am shocked myself that i learnt it so fast. im able to fly indoors itself all over my house, without crashing to anything once..my confidence level has gained ...and i wish to buy much better heli, which i can fly outdoors...(This seems to be flying away with the wind lol)

anyway please guide on a good rc plane/Heli, which i can fly outdoors.

thanks for the forums help a lot.
i learnt a lot.

hai.
Better u get on to simulator, thn buy a 450 size frm www.rcbazar.com
whn u fly a 4ch u think that u can fly a pro one..but ..its very risk to flying a 6ch ,without any
experiance/training on sim
so first buy a good simulator n thn ..try..
ok thats my advice..
rest urs...
happy flying

Hello....
I am Ajith from Mysore. I followed this discussion for obvious reasons... I noticed my city being mentioned... I have an interest in RC flying... no exposure if any sort... just have watched RC crafts flying during my NCC training. I had been researching since a week now. I narrowed down to DJI phantom 2 vison quad copter... any suggestions??
