Title: One of the best setup for beginner
Post by: vishalrao on April 17, 2012, 11:51:43 AM
Need a high wing trainer like Seagull E-PIONEER EP. From some threads, I found that Mr. Kalsi from Delhi sells it. I sent an SMS but didn't receive a reply. I also tried sending a PM to Harveer, as I read some positive reviews about his trainer Styro Plane-25 but didn't receive a reply either.

Wing span should be more than 1000mm and it should be new. Should be able to take 3s 2200 mah.

sorry to recommend you, but i feel going with a sky surfer is good enough as of today.

Good availability of model, low price and highly unbreakable.

I already owned Sky Surfer and now I have an Easy Star 2. At one time you get tired of very slow flying. So just for some variety I need a high wing trainer with landing gear. I'm not interested in doing acrobatics but I need one that is quite stable in little to moderate wind. Basically I need something that resembles a glow model but is electric.

Most glow models can be converted for electric use.

Yes, Scrinject.B virus found in root. Other pages possibly intact.

Already asked for removal from our Ad portion till repair.
And for others, who don't use total security like me, please check the status of
Explorer=> Tools => Folder options => view => and select show hidden and system folder,
Apply => OK
Again check, if it goes to earlier position or not. If yes, you got infected.

Potential Risk.
==========
It sends account data (specially facebook as it is kept unencrypted) to some servers, and e-mail, Facebook, Online Banking account details exposed and published.
It drops 4 file to your removal drives as follows with hidden attribute (And system too) named following
Copy of Shortcut to (1).lnk
Copy of Shortcut to (2).lnk
Copy of Shortcut to (3).lnk
Copy of Shortcut to (4).lnk
With 13kb Size. Pointed virus exe files will be under Recycler Folder (Hidden)

Manual Remedy for PenDrive
====================

As, Ramnit and ScrInject virus spread too much, just take some precautionary measures to avoid spanning in your removal drive. If infected, you have to reinstall everything as this codes attached at various locations. :banghead:

1. Make Autorun.Inf Folder (YES FOLDER not File) in the drive root.
2. Make Recycler File(With NULL content) in Root Directory.
3. Make 4 file with name "Copy of Shortcut to (x).LNK" to root directory (x=> 1 to 4).
4. Make attribute of all above directory and files to +R +h +s
5. Make OFF Autorun of all drive. (Run=> GPEdit.msc=>Computer Configuration=> Administrative Template=> System => Turn off Autoplay => Enable => All Drive => Apply => OK => Restart PC).
Make step 1 to 4 for all pendrive you have specially you have to use inside infected machine for file sharing. YOU WOULD NOT BE INFECTED.

If not its polymorphism add some other flavor. :banghead:

Thanks
Now, whenever you use as protection, rethink.

Hi
after reading and searching a lot according to me the best setup will be a axn floater jet from rcbazzar ( without esc) , get esc and battery from hobbysea( i think best prices) and some servos

for tx/rx turnigy 9x from rchobby adict is best because of cost and its futureproof for some time atleast ( better than pure 4 channel)

need more input from you guys. you always say read rc india gems but really there is not answer there for what should be a starter set.

Good research Karan! Are all the components 'in stock'? What will be the cost for a beginner to buy this setup and start the hobby?

i  would suggest any beginner to  go for a nitro setup... (if he has fliers around)

reasons being :
1> nitro models are big..... u can fly farther  distance
2> they are much stable..... easy to control
3> they do good in the winds.... can fly  any time
4> they look and sound like real plane..... that will encourage you
5> balsa built easy to repair than fomies..... opinions may differ
looking at the prices getting down  in the market the best i could suggest is

ASP 52 form HK ..... ( well below 1kg may be no  custom hazzles) or RCD sales at some what same rate
plane : PT 40 from pradeep... PVA models
radio: Turnigy 9X
battery: local
servo: std HK servos

approx price comparisions:

comparison                             nitro                                electric
engine/motor esc                     3500                               1500
battery/LIPO                           250                                 1500
plane                                     5000                                5500
radio Turnigy 9X                      5000                                5000
servo                                     300*4                               200*3
prop and acc                           500                                 500
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
total                                      15425                               14600

that  is hardly a difference rs1000

OPINIONS MAY DIFFER....  welcome for suggestions

Very nice cost breakdown Aerovishwa {:)}
But like you said, I beg to differ. Starting with a glow is the biggest mistake I did. I'd always recommend a beginner to start with a electric foam plane like easystar or axn floater. A beginner will make mistakes and you need a forgiving plane. Less time fixing and more flying

ps: I'm pretty sure we have had this discussion before :headscratch:

yes agree on that.... have u ever flown a PT40....!!! thats a plane that will get out of a 80 degree bank if u just leave the controls.....

also  i have mentioned in the previous  post to  go  for  nitro if u have experienced fliers around....
learning on a nitro u  will earn very fast... atleast  personal experience... i have taught ppl fly ( from  takeoff to landing ) in 3 days i.e 12 flights.... on a phoenix CLASSIC

one thing i would like to point out is that

u will learn fast if some one is teaching u... if u go  alone it will take u time.... no doubt u need a good teacher...

axn with its big battery fly really long. also in compare of price the electric costs are bit too much. my setup is about of 11k max. buy the plane without esc.all of the parts in stock as of now.any body got better setup then this. sure mr moss will be cheaper but no was expandable you can go fpv on this thing.other close option is kinetic 800 but thats for advance stuff. also add a dongle for 900 in setup. the beginner in community is bit confused because he is not getting a clear answer. this is not like robotics there are few right ways to get start in flying.

also please do a power combo article for people like me who want to do foam planes. we dont know head or tail about motor and dont know"can this plane lift this heavy battery because i want longer flights" thing.

this webapp may help but some one give feedback on this. also make a section for foam planes and add all tested designs

The canopy of AXN appears to be too crammed. I haven't seen it physically but have seen in the images and also read reviews of others. EasyStar/Sky Surfer both have very roomy canopies. The biggest advantage of these pusher planes is that in case of crashes, your motor/prop doesn't get damaged. I have owned both Sky Surfer and Easy Star and I would recommend Easy Star. But let me tell you, because of their slow flying characteristics, you are going to be bored pretty soon.

Another option is to get a pusher SPAD from Sandeep sir:
http://www.rcindia.org/for-sale/spad-arf%27s-available/

These are pretty inexpensive and you can always upgrade to a faster model without feeling much pinch.

Regarding Glow Vs. Electric, electrics anytime. Agreed that Electrics are light and cannot fly in windy conditions and doesn't boost your ego that much but you can always convert a nitro model (big) to electric later on. Moreover, electrics are more reliable than nitro as I have seen many times nitro engines quitting mid air.

Ready for missiles from nitro fans!  :argue:

Easy star is brushed motor. The best easy star clone is bixler. I am thinking of getting from hk but no sure about customs.I need only airframe with motor and prop ver.axn is next best thing to bixler.I like to atleast aerial video if not fpv.so slow is better for me.and when my setup is done I can have many planes.
