One step at a time :)

You just an experienced modeller along with you.
Electrics have just come up over theeast decade. Before, people flew only gassers.
There's nothing wrong is having a gasser as your first plane. You should have somebody to help.

@mujjo91,
Additional items
Already listed - fuel, filter, pump, glow plug spanner, glow booster, 4cell Nimh about 1000mah for rx

If you go to India’s Hobby Centre, see if you can pick up an engine test stand. Has to be mounted on afairly strong table. Not essential but a great help in learning to start and tune the engine.

Lipo powered starter if you want to travel First Class (very expensive). Otherwise a chicken stick. See photos on internet. Sometimes we just use a thick marker pen instead  Grin

Let us know when you have everything you need to start the engine on the test bench...

To protect your Rs 15-20,000 investment in this project, you may like to consider an electric to learn on. Will cost about 5-6,000.

Take a look at Tuffstar and Old Fogey and powerpacks from
