RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Not sure if such combos are available.  The cheapest radio + receiver will be Rs.2000 as of now, check RCBazaar.com

The rest of the electronics and lipo battery plus simple charger will most likely consume the rest of your budget.  Being an engineering student, you can build planes using local materials, which would will allow you to enjoy this hobby within your stated budget.

PS: If anyone else is aware of a combo in this budget, please post it here.

Not every city has RC shops, but everyone gets stuff shipped in. It is very quick from within India.

I know you want arf but i have no idea where you can find something in that price range

This is what i would recommend
EMAX CF 2805  :Rs:396
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=100_93&products_id=760
Aeolian S0009 9g Servo (Qty 2 or 3) (minimum 2) :  :Rs:150*2 = :Rs:300
http://rcbazaar.com/products/794-aeolian-s0009-9g-servo.aspx
EMAX CF2822 FULL COMBO  :Rs:960
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=100_93&products_id=475
EMAX EP1060 DD 10x6 PROPELLER  (for this cost i'd recommend qty 10):Rs:24.40*10= :Rs:244.0
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_48_80&products_id=754
FS-CT6B 6ch 2.4GHz transmitter & receiver  :Rs:1970
http://rcbazaar.com/products/396-fs-ct6b-6ch-24ghz-transmitter-receiver.aspx
TP 20C 1000mAh-3CELL 11.1V  :Rs:698.80
http://www.rcdhamaka.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=102_94&products_id=432

Total 1970+244+960+300+698.80 =  :Rs:4172.80

Building Material:
You can go for coro or depron. I have worked on both and i prefer depron over coro.
You can buy depron from Dhiraj. But i understand he has had given some problems but im satisfied with him. You can find him some where in rcindia he goes by the name dhirajjadhaodhiraj

Now design:
I made two models in the past month and im more satisfied for the first model than the second one. You can check it out  on http://www.rcindia.org/self-designed-diy-and-college-projects/first-flight/

If you go for the that one you'll need just a few more things, which i will not impose until you choose to make it.

For that budget you can only manage electrics. Get a sheet of coro(you might be able to procure it for free) and build the extra 300 profile plane, plans widely available on the net. Buy the electronics widely available with so many LHS's. You will be able to build a plane in that budget. Whether it will fly/you can fly depends upon how well you build it, and how much have you practiced flying on the sim. I exclusively fly electrics, and I love them.

Im also very comfortable with electrics, i havent had much experience with nitro i have only flown a control line once, but for a tight budget electric is the way to go

Check with Anam (www.rchobbyaddict.com) as far as I know, he is about to offer a Coro ARF kit similar to the Extra 300 SPAD for a competitive price. It is Receiver ready and requires just a LiPo snd your own Tx/Rx to fly.

Everything else ( Props and prop saver / ESC/ Motor/ Servos/ C/F rods and Control Linkages / horns / rods)  are included in the ARF kit.

All the best Anam!!! Thumbs Up

You can try this
http://www.rcindia.org/self-designed-diy-and-college-projects/scratch-build-ezfly-3ch-trainer/

It is a 3channel trainer the total cost is Rs 4700/- including the radio. I have just made changes to the plan and increased the wing size to 39inches , now it flies like a glider. If you want I can send you the complete plan in coral draw format which you can cut yourself or get it cut trough cnc router.
