It certainly looks like "overcontrol" due to lack of flying experience.

Isn't there anyone around who can help? Otherwise get yourself a flight sim and practice on it.

sorry to hear that, however i am sure that there is no serious damage.
Most probably the aeleron throws are too much ( assuming that theier orientation is right). Reduce the trows to <40%
good luck.

Hi Arun,

As Sushil sir said it's certainly looks like "over control" due to lack of flying experience. Like me  Giggle I'm also beginner.

So I always fly with some experience people.

If you have some close snaps of your build please post it so that people could help you more.

And yes your plane is looking nice  Thumbs Up

Thanks,
-Vinayak.

I am of the same thought. Too much control input, resulting in too much banking, followed by an even higher correction. When you launched your plane, it seemed stable, and just when it starts to climb, probably you put in too much aileron input. The moment any plane rolls, it loses height (due to reduced lift on the wing), and since your airfoil seems to be flat bottomed  there is no lift when upside down, and then probably you pulled on the elevator, and the plane takes an inner loop before digging in the ground. For my first few flights I was advised to ask an experienced flyer to take it high in the sky and then takeover the controls (much like learning to fly a kite - one starts to learn controlling it when its high in the air). A simulator should very much help. In any case, no reason to lose heart, repair it, and get back to the field. Cheers. Thumbs Up

Certainly looks like over control probably due to excessive throws. Best avoid models with ailerons on early flights. Handling throttle, elev and rudder is enough for a beginner. My suggestion would be to remove the ailerons or to fix then at neutral for the first few flights. This will take rolls out of the equation for the time being till the hands are steadier. Also reduce throws as suggested by Ashta.

varun
great work..as other members suggested it is just the outcome of a inexperience flying.same happened when i first launched my plane, and it straightaway came down.i too broke my motor mount.i suggested you not to make it with ailerons.anyways that's the advantage of building a spad, now you can easily repair it and you are good to go again.and just remember there is nothing to loose hope..you should be proud of your work as a newbee.there is no problem with design.just see what i build when i started this hobby,it was a complete disaster.checkout the link..it will surely give you confidence..

I used coroplast sheets....also known as coreflute or sunpack...
i used these because these are a little bit of crash resistant..
u can also use biofoam or any foam sheets if they are available near your locality... Thumbs Up

Good work and nice finish. I hope you've clearly distinguished the ventral (uppar) and dorsal(lower) sides of the wings to reduce disorientation while flying. Good build Smiley

yoho

if u had added a bit of dihedral then you could remove the ailrons for some period and then learn to fly on rudder, and then installed the ailerons because rudder controls are more forgiving than ailerons Smiley
