I suggest you to go for sunny sky motors if it suits your budget. If not, then go for Emax or dys(available at quadkopters.com)
Please don't go for this charger.. Get a b6ac
I suggest a 5 inch prop but it depends on how you want it

A larger prop would produce more thrust so the copter would feel more powerful. However it isn't always the case. When using a larger prop the efficiency of the motor might drop plus it draws more amps from the battery. You could also cause the motor winding to burn. Always check the thrust data of the motor before choosing a suitable prop to it.
I would suggest you to use Naze32 instead of CC3D.
And why use a SimonK when you can gave the goodness of BLheli.? Wink
For ESC you could get littlebees, SN20A(there were few reports of it catching fire, might be a bad batch), EMAX BLHeli esc(has motor sync issues with sunnysky)

I cannot comment about the motor cause don't know much about it. If your on a budget go for the DYS or EMax motors(Buy it from rchyper.com, they have the original ones) Else go for sunnysky. If your comfortable ordering from china or from foreign sites RCX Motors are also good!

I would recommend you to invest in a good radio(Flysky9X/Turnigy 9X/9XR). The flysky 6ch is a good radio but as you say your interested in FPV this might help you!

And about the frame you might want to get a frame whose spare parts(arms, top plate, etc) are available. Why not go for ZMR250 frame. Spares are abundant Grin

Thanks Himadri for explanation. going for 5030 props for now.
I actually went for flysky 6ch , placed order for the same, i feel little disappointed as i checked ur msg later. So is it that FPV will be difficult for 6ch or totally not possible?
Actually quadkopters were in panvel and i stay closeby so i went for the frame available in their store, zmr was not available.
This will be my first make so, i am little skeptical about the results.

Nope it wont be difficult. I was saying to buy a better radio because of the reliable link. There have been cases of fly-away, but don't worry fly within the range of the TX. Plus with the above radio you can have access to telemetry(but it requires few mods)

There are 4 basic channels-- throttle, yaw, aileron and pitch. You should not play with them
A 6ch tx has 6 channels and the extra 2 channels can be used for fpv
So it's fine
You can go with the zmr 250 on rchyper.com
Himadri I guess Simon k are more better now because even I had problems in setting up one of my BLheli esc's (which I had bought for a new project)which later released the "magical smoke" so i think it's best you go for Simon k
The above esc is perfect

Himadri and Darshan said pretty much everything I was planning to. I also recommend RCX motors. They are known to be excellent performers at the price. I don't know what these motors are. I would suggest you go for ones with test data and reviews available. I also recommend the ZMR since you will need spares (especially arms).

i would recommend at least a 20A ESC if you plan on using bigger props, better motors or 4S. If you are looking for better performance and are willing to quite a bit of flashing and adjusting settings, BLHeli is a good choice. If you want something that just works, SimonK is better.

May be you should consider your statement Darshan!
First of all you go it all wrong! Burning an ESC as nothing to do with the firmware(BLHeli or SimonK). It might be a bad FET or a dead short!
With all those Oneshot, Dampening in BLHeli ESC your quad feels more locked in(Oneshot is being developed for SK). Throttle response is far more better in BLHeli than in SimonK.

Make Quads! Not War ..

Thank you so much, guys, for your input.
ZMR was not readily available from my nearest shop so I went for Enzo for now. Below are the specs I went for:
ENZO250 Frame with PCB
Emax 12A SimonK ESC
1500mah 11.1V 35/70C LiPo
FlySky FS-T6 2.4ghz 6CH Transmitter and Receiver
1S-8S Low Voltage Alarm Indicator
CC3D Openpilot Flight Controller
IMAX B6 Charger/Discharger 1-6 Cells  ----Suggested By
SunnySky X2204 2300kv ----Suggested By Darshan
5030 GemFan 2 Blade Black  ----Suggested By Darshan and Himadri

Went into setup! took me 2 hrs. Now I am stuck at MOTOR Rotation!
Pls Check the attached Picture.
My MOTOR 3: Turning Anti-Clockwise
MOTOR 4: Turning Clockwise

Could You please advise what can be done, as I read on the net, brushless motors changing polarity won't make any difference. Should I swap motor Positions???

Usually, the BLDC motor rotation is reversed by swapping any two of the three wires going from the ESC to the motor. If you want to swap the motors, you'll also need to swap the respective ESC signal wires going to the flight controller.

As this is your first multirotor, test the flight controller without attaching the propellers initially.

Just swap any two of the wires of the motor that you have connected to the esc and they will spin in the right direction.

thanks swapnil and darshan.. i will swap the wires!
Another feature of BLHeli is that you can change rotation of the Motor without swapping the wire(so soldering the wire directly to the ESC can be done without thinking much about the rotation direction)..using the BLHeli Suite. Grin

That's bidirectional mode where the throttle middle position is zero and the motor direction depends on whether you move the stick up or down. That is different. Those 3D quad videos would either use this with bidirectional props or collective pitch.
What Himadri is talking is what I am using in my build. I will be soldering the motor wires directly to the ESC pads so it will be a neat build. If a motor spins the wrong way I can change it in BLHeliSuite. Also, I am going to solder the ESC signal wires directly to the PDB. That's another great advantage of BLHeli. I can use a Naze32 as a programming tool to flash the ESCs and change settings without having to desolder everything.

Does it supprt bidirectional mode too? Because, I can then replace the brushed motor with a BLDC in my rc car.

Hello Guys, Swapping motor wires (SunnySky 2204) worked very well. After Setup, i armed my quad, flew a bit, was okay but there's one input orange indication, pls see attached file.

Angad, I couldn't read the warning message. Could you please post a clearer picture? Or just post the pic off the warning message.

What do you mean by 'flew a bit'? Did you get a stable hover?

It was stable, but not like what i see in videos, one problem i observed, When i start my throttle: No. 3 motor takes time to start..This delay causes yaw in quad. Still trying to figure out what to do.

I haven't used a CC3D before, but, a RC input failsafe is triggered when the RC inputs are out of bounds. Try re-calibrating the radio inputs and check connections from Rx to FC.

The 'motor starting late' issue could be because of some problem in the ESC or because the FC is getting unstable RC inputs (which would explain the RC inputs warning). Try changing the ESC of the problematic motor.

Calibrating the esc's might solve the "late starting problem"
Do it both, manually and through the flight controller

hello, darshan and Swapnil!
thanks for the input, I re-calibrated the ESC's, now they start together and very well.
It was difficult to control it in the starting, but got a hang of it, doing low flying only, very close just to get a hang of controller.

I have some doubts
1. My controller is FlySky FS-T6 2.4ghz 6CH, using in mode 2, left is thrust/yaw, right is roll/pitch.
When I roll to left or pitch down...it continues to stay that what until I counter it.
Is there is anything like, when I roll left, it should roll to left, den when I leave button, it should stable and not continuously head left.

2. My battery is 1500mah 3 cell 11.1v - http://www.quadkopters.com/product/battery-and-accessories/qk-1500mah-11-1v-3570c-lipo/
is it possible to go for

or

You are flying in ACRO mode. If you switch to self stabilized mode you'll get what you want. For miniquad it is recommended not use a battery of capacity more than 2200mAh because the increase in the flight time would be quite insignificant. As you increase the capacity of the battery the weight also increases!

There will be drifting. No quad is stable like a rock, not even a quad with GPS
If you fly in manual mode, you will have to counter it continuously.
If you fly in acro mode, you might get over responses and you might no be able to control it
If you fly in stabilised/attitude mode, it will stay stable as you want it to be
P.S: Where is the video? Clap

I think you need to correct the PID as the quad is a bit wobbly
Don't fly with a broken propeller. A propeller is a very important part and the quad can go out of control and anything can happen.
Do not fly indoors... you might tear your chair see cover or damage something

Just picked this from somewhere. Hope this helps
First make sure everything is calibrated properly (esc's, accelerometer, gyro, radio, etc).
Tune your P (Proportional) values up untill it starts to oscillate (overcompensate), then back off progressively to where oscillations stop.
If it "drifts" or takes time to stabilize, turn up your I (integral) values untill it stabilizes quickly enough for you.
Then turn up your D (Derivative) values untill it feels snappy enough for you.

And why do the props not fit properly?
The pitch of the prop is same, just the length is different.
It should fit

After seeing the landing I don't want to ask you how the prop broke
Buy a lot of props cause 250 quad props break more often as they are fast and strike the ground hard sometimes
I myself have broken around 10 props...
Very nice flight  Clap
