Title: My new Quadcopter has successfully flown
Post by: avigyan.chatterjee on February 23, 2015, 11:35:05 PM
Dear friends,
Yesterday I have successfully flown my first home made Quadcopter. I have purchased the parts from Quadkopters.com .
                Here I have used
                        4 brushless motors of Angel A2212-13, 980kV
                        4 SimonK ESCs of 30A
                        X525 Quad frame
                        HK kk2.1 flight controller
                        HK T6A 6Channel Tx-Rx
1 QK LiPo battery of 11.1V/2200mAh
                        4 Propellers of 10/4.5
                        4 foam balls   etc.

It has give a very stable flight.
I would like to give Thanks to Satyada (Mr. Satya Gupta of Quadkopters.com) for his support.
I am given the Youtube attachment of the flight vedio.

Nicely done  The first flight always feels great.
Have you done the PID tuning? That is very important for stable flight. Is this a + mode quadcopter?

Congrats on the maiden. Please dont take off with so much throttle. These quads are dangerous and many people have been hit by their own quads.
As SK1701 has mentioned, tune the pids and try to hover in one place.
Where in Bhadreswar do you live?

That's a very good point. You need to ease up on the throttle. Try hovering and complete the PID tuning before trying such flying. Has self level been set up your kk 2.1?

The PI gain and limit that I have used are given bellow:

                       Aileron             Elevator             Rudder

P Gain                 50                  50                     40

P limit                 100                100                    20

I Gain                  40                  40                    0

I Limit                  20                  20                   10

Self Level Setting:

P gain    20

P Limit    10

Acc trim roll     0

Acc trim pitch   0

But till now I never exit of turn off the self level mode and I feel that in this mode no roll, pitch or yaw is working properly except the throttle. Is there any requirement to exit from the self level mode? if yes how?

Hi, congrats.
I am also started to build my quadcopter and wanted to know where you got all the parts for your copter, locally or online. If online, please forward the URL. I am in Hyderabad, already got my frame (REPTILE 500 Alien Multi-copter 500mm Quadcopter Frame W/ 450/550 ABS Arm) aliexpress, yet to arrive.

Any suggestion for a beginner would be appreciated.

Dear friends,
First of all thanks for your appreciation. I have bought all the parts from Quadkopters.com . You can contact Mr. Satya Gupta. I can give you the URL
     http://www.quadkopters.com/product/arf-kit-rtf-kit-and-frames/arf-525-kit-with-kk-2-1-controller/ (http://www.quadkopters.com/product/arf-kit-rtf-kit-and-frames/arf-525-kit-with-kk-2-1-controller/)
I think if you can purchase it, it will be the most cost effective and very easy to built and fly.
    I have used my old HK T6A 6channel Tx-Rx.
Though I am a beginner , if any kind of information u need feel free to contact me.

Dear Sahil
will u plz tell me what do u mean by "fail-safe setup". How should I do this? If u kindly suggest me the safety measures that should I take during the next flight it will be really helpful for me. Is there any video about this matter?
I have already posted the PI gain tuning data that I have done in my kk2.1 board. Is it correct?
