This is my first plane, actualy i got interest in rc flying 2 months before
i have ordered the parts from hobbyking on 23/6/2011.
http://hk.rc-international.info/swarm/arun
and hobbyking 6ch radio.

i think this motor/prop/lipo combination is a bad choice

now i cant wait to get the items  Drool

and i already started making the plane with thermocol from a fridge packing

i made this wing.its 470mmX95mm (that is the longest piece i got) i dont know if the size is adequate, the total equipment weight is about 175g

please give me your suggestions.

hi
did you not compare the specs of the motor? and also you dont have an esc on that list and servo's for that matter too.
If they have not shipped it yet, you can still stop the process and choose and pay from the credit of the last transaction but you'll hv to pay for the shipping.

Retreat, Hell!

Hi Arun, you should have gone for the suggested prop. You can surely find it in India.
Firstly, for the given power setup, the wing area you've made is too small.
I'll suggest you to read up a bit more about the electronics you've ordered, construction techniques and guidelines and basic aerodynamics. There's loads of info on this forum. Go through everything that seems important.
Good Luck!

@ saurab

Buddy! the radio's operation doesn't depends upon the ESC/Motor/Battery. Its just the Receiver and the Transmitter(Remote) itself that depend on each other. Read more on this forum to have more information on everything....

Thanks.

today i have connected everything and tested the motor and the electronics and i found that the throttle response is not linear, when i move the throttle stick upward,at a perticular point, the motor jumps to a high rpm then each millimeter of movement speed dramatically increses and then the rate of change of speed decreses.
is there any way to fix this? i am using hobbyking t6 6CH transmitter, i have usb cable and software

Did you program the ESC properly? Which one is it? Can't make out its name from the pic...

Hmm...looks like it has no programming feature for setting max. and min. throttle positions.

Arun, if you go through all the comments on the product page you'll see this comment by 'emer' :
"Have had problem with throttle (starting at half stick position). After fixing this, works great."

Try asking him how he fixed it.
Good Luck!

Learning to Fly

At one time I was having similar problem. This has seemingly gone away after rebinding the Rx. Some ESCs also cannot accept sudden movement of the stick (i.e. going from low to high in one jerk).

Innovative motor mount! But it looks really weak.
How did you fix the servo?
Also, you need to reinforce the whole fuselage and wing.

Most important of all, the proportions you have used are not suitable for the power setup you have!

i have added rudder and elevator with packing tape.
reinforced the fuselage with 1mm metal rod and the fuselage is fully covered with tape.
i think it is complete now.

it is raining here for a week, so i am unable to fly this
may be i will fly this tomorrow if the weather is clear

Hey Arun, could you please give some details of your plane like lengths of chord and span, approximate weight etc? That would help beginners like me to understand reasons behind crashes.
Did you calculate the proportions by referring http://adamone.rchomepage.com/design.htm ?

hi,
i had started building according to that design, but then i incresed the wingspan alone. so it is slightly off the design.

after todays crash. i disassembled everything.and discarded the fuselage. only remaining parts are wing and stabiliser

CG is near the alieron
