was browsing through the hobby-king site and found the
product id : TX-9X-M1 cost : 20$
would love to know how much it would  cost me including shipping
also what could be it's maximum range in meters or kilometers???
i was planning on building a 90mm or 70mm edf plane but am open to your suggestions....
i also found a motor the had a staggering 2.6 kg of thrust with a 5blade edf
was wondering what the weight of the plane will be for a 1mm edf plane with electronics included( just a gross weight )
what is more important for me than an edf is it should be able to fly right up vertically....
i am waiting for your expertise guys
note that i have never flown any thing RC in my life   Roll Eyes
but have done enough research on your forums and the internet to know enough to build a plane Smiley Smiley Smiley

Hi Rajiv

Welcome to Rcindia!

It is advice able to buy the Radio Controller locally or in person if some one is coming from abroad

TX-9X-M1 is 20$? it is 40$ if i am right, similar systems are sold by www.rchobbyaddict.com, www.rcbazaar.com and others just search the forum for the mega list of shops

All Radio controllers are limited to Visual range, u can't make out the orientation if the plane goes too far.

I preferred to build a propeller plane than edf since it is much lighter and is more efficient.

1mm edf?  Shocked Shocked typo??

and you are planning to build a VTOL as your first model??  try tony's Blue Baby instead

a little typing mistake Grin Grin
yeah it is $40 and i meant a 90mm edf
nah not a VTOL but something aerobatic like for ex: when i am in flight i would like to go vertically up(which i have read that it isnt possible if the thrust is lesser than the weight of the plane...... Help Me Help Me
also if i am getting it from some one who is returning from abroad the wont the customs at the airport object to it?Huh?

ex: i am flying it towards a wall i pull the rudder hard......... i want to make something that can go straight up [vertically] (dont matter if it is an edf or a propeller plane)
anyways what would be the average weight of a 90mm edf plane???

High spirits we have: gravity we flout.

First you should not be flying near walls Grin second the rudder will only take you left or right Smiley
Like xxkrishxx said, you should start with a slow stable design. Building and flying are totally different ball games. Also you should visit your nearest flying field this weekend. There are some very skilled and helpful modelers in your city who can help you make a wise decision  Thumbs Up
