Please read the threads on self made models and the places where you can get good plans to make your models.  MY ADVICE..... up to you to listen to it or not....
Decide on the place first and then got the the electronics.
or decide on the plane for which you plan to you the available electronics.

there are a host of plans available.... in case you read the threads first you will get a lot of useful info from the seniors in their replies...

best wishes
