Have you gone through the various threads in the "Beginner" section of the "Gems list" at :

http://www.rcindia.org/rc-india-forum/the-rc-india-gems/

It should give you a pretty good idea about what you need, and how much you will need to spend.

Of course electric is sort of understood, when you are on a budget :)

Can you give us a rough idea of what your budget is ?  Without that, it is really hard for members here to suggest appropriately  :(

One option is the beginner combo from RCForAll, and either a Moss or a Slowstick (Sai may add other choices that he has).  And when the frame itself is gone after usage, you can move on to scratch building, and the possibilities there are wide open.

The combo itself and some suggestions for planes are listed here :

http://www.rcindia.org/radios-and-receivers/rcforall-fs-t-4-a-2-4-g-radio-(tx-rx-)-now-available-for-rs-2700/

Note: I do not mean to promote one store versus other, just reporting what we have seen offered here, within the suggested budget ! Also, this is ONE of the options.

Anjan,
My suggestion is to go for Slow stick with complete combo. Please ask Sai to make a complete combo of Slowstick with brushless setup (original slowstick come with brushed motor, which i think is a waste)

welcome to RC my friend :)

going for slowstick or mr. moss is the best idea.

don't get confused for more options.  :headscratch:

first learn and get grip with slowstick or moss  both r cool to get start in . :)

"To start i need radio tx/rx ( a set is offered by Mr VC 72Mhz 6ch tx n 4 chn rx at around rs 2.5k)"

You got it the other way around. It is a 4 Ch Tx and a 6 Ch Rx. If you ask me, you should go in for a complete set up. To start with you DON"T need a Tx/Rx, to start with you need a PLANE! Either a Mr. Moss or some such thing. It gives you a COMPLETE package. If you try to buy the TX and the Rx, and then the Motor and the ESC and then build the model around it - You are asking for unnecessary headaches and a lot of frustration! Go in for a high wing or a slow stick. You want something that can glide and give you a lot of latitude for mistakes. To start with you don't need power/speed, you need durability. Trust me, I've learnt this the hard way.

I am not trying to dissuade you, however, as a beginner, you need to get a ready to fly complete model with all the parts pre matched and cohesive. You can experiment once you have a little experience.

Also, since you had doubts about the legitimacy of my offer and asked other forum members to justify it "What do u all hav to say about this offer", I guess you can do without it. You don't need it now.

Cheers then!

VC

the sentence was not
appropiate.
If u r hurted
than im really very sorry
i hope u forgive me.
Looking forward to meet u..

Sorry again..

Anjan,

An apology was not really required but since you have tendered it, I accept. Every forum member has the right to question a deal and have it verified/ratified by others. That is why RCINDIA is what it is. Our Administrator has strived very hard to make this a forum a place where fair practice is carried out. On that count, you did nothing wrong.

However, since you identified yourself as an old Trainee of mine and reminded me of our past association, I would have expected a certain amount of frankness from you. You were welcome to ask me directly, "What would this set cost me in the open market?" I was a little surprised about your seeking a public opinion. For your info, the deal consisted of the Tx, Rx, 2 Micro Servos, High Speed Brushed Motor. I bought this package from a forum member for Rs.2500/-. I was willing to let you have it at the same price.

Anyway, listen to what the other more experienced members are telling you. Go in for a complete pre matched set with Tx, Rx, ESC, Motor, Servos and Aircraft. Preferably RTF (Ready to Fly). Get it out of the box, assemble, charge the batteries and head for the field. Look for a Floater, that can glide at low speeds even without power for a while. This should not cost you more than Rs.10,000/-.

With every good wish for the festive season. Enjoy with your family.

Cheers!

VC

Anjan, lets just close this chapter. If you need any further help, do contact me.

Atul - The link you posted takes us to a question about timing.  Did you mean the whole set of questions on the left ?

In that case, the link would be better as :

http://www.ezonemag.com/pages/faq/intro.shtml

and let us make it clear the going through the questions on the left one by one is really helpful to beginners in electric flight.

Does this glider include the Radio System(TX and RX)? I mean whether it is a Ready to Fly Kit?

OR we have to buy something to run it????

it includes every thing ! but its not a ready to fly. some mild assembly is required.
it was my first plane and it didnt require much knowledge to build. tutorials to build it are found on this forum  itself!

I would not suggest a balsa model as the FIRST plane, unless you spend a lot of time on the sim,  AND you fly with the help of someone on a trainer cable.

I would like to agree with you Anwar Bhai.

As per research I have been doing all these days for good starter plane, My opinion would  go in favor of Easy Star and it's homages.

1. Multiplex Easy Star : Though easy star do not have Ailerons but it's sturdy built, easy availability in India and economic pricing, pushes it to no. 1.

2. Blitz RC Work's Sky Surfer: This is a closest possible homage of Easy Star. That's why Sky Surfer comes at No.2and this also have ailerons.

3. Cloud Fly AKA AXN Floater: This also comes close to Easy star, and it's aggressive priceing and sale by a very famous online store makes it a popular choice.

4. Xen Phoenix : This is only Easy Star Homage which comes with a Four blade propeller, which make it more stable and easy to control. But Xen Phoenix's narrower body pushes it to no.4

5. Dynam  Hawk Sky: It is having a  plastic power pylon that vibrates and makes noise when flying. So this is last in this list.

These are all Easy Star Homages according to my preference.
