So I'm a noob to RC stuff and I'm really interested in making RC stuff work, and I want to make my own high performance RC car I guess. I have got 2 11kv BLDC motors and 2 ESCs that I can use, but I have no idea how to make the car body, brakes (unless I stop the motors), steering system and what to use to control the car, i.e. Arduino, rpi, or something else. I'd really appreciate any help possible! Thanks! Title: Re: Noob guide Post by: rishabhbarma on December 24, 2018, 11:21:01 PM It's not just a boring project based on the parts you have and even if you end up building it, wont run as well as a RTR truck or say a kit which you assemble. The electronics you have are nowhere near "high performance".

I would suggest you to first buy a basic level model and then learn how each and every part works. Try to disintegrate them depending on their functionality. Since this is a car and so many parts are involved you need to have better understanding. This is not as simple as assembling a quadcopter. If you are still interested and have a 3D printer the you can search in thingverse where you will get very good collection of various models. I'd like to make an RC boat or something similar with 2 motors and want to use the other 2 in a car. I'm going to start learning about RC stuff in general from YouTube now I guess, as that's where I learnt how to make a quadcopter from. Btw, is there any other way to get the case/shell of the car without a 3d printer? Because that's what everyone else seems to be doing, and I don't have access to one yet :/ |
