Title: Purchase of Parrot AR drone 2.0 and other Flight controller Post by: badrobot15 on January 25, 2017, 10:27:16 AM I wish to purchase a Parrot AR Drone (https://www.parrot.com/fr/drones/parrot-ardrone-20-elite-edition#parrot-ardrone-20-elite-edition-details). I am however not sure about the rules and regulations of quadrotor shipping. I would like to know that if I place order for the drone, would it get stuck at customs? Is there any kind of license I need to get to allow it through customs? Is there any duty fee to be paid on it?
Anybody who has previously purchased this particular drone, have you'll faced with any problems? Also would there be a similar problem while ordering for a PixHawk Flight controller? If someone could point me out in the right direction. The best thing about Aliexpress is you can ask them to declare a lower price to reduce import duty. DHL will ask for some documents and charges ~500 INR for handling your paperwork. If you insist on buying from the original Parrot site, I suggest you wait for official DGCA rules on quadrotors.
