Practice, and only Practice will make you perfect

Ajith welcome to the forum, since you are a beginner, i would suggest to get yourself a GWS Slow stick , stick in a 2212 motor and the Tx Rx of your choice and you are good to go, like anwar bhai says the more you read , the more you save money

Learning to Fly

Dear Ajith,
When starting out, most folks newbies (myself included) think about going for a big model. However, as I have learnt the hard way, its about learning to fly a model and not about size. So as an entry level plane, do not look for a foamie with flying weight (or All up weight = AUW) ore than 700-800 gms for starting on electric. This will lower your initial expenses on motor/esc/battery
Also look for a pusher instead of tractor as it will be more resilient to crashes

Thank's every one

i have been following this group from a week   and have read (being offline)  recent posts (past 4 months)
My plane Planning ...
weighs about  : 1Kg

so please suggest me with Motor ; propeller ; ESC  ; Battery ;  Help Me   Head Scratching

i am going to use SERVOS ( image below)  4-5 of them

I an going to order 6 ch Transmitter stated above :How is it. good for its price ??  is it enough for an intermediate flier ?? (i want to learn fast)

i want to build  a plane for now & as soon it flies good i want to build a F-22  or a su-35  Tongue

I have been reading and searching for rc stuff from past 3-4 months .......

Now i have saved enough ( want it to be with my own cash) and  want  my first plane within 7000 -7500.  Including 3500 for transmitter  Thumbs Up

seniors  please help .....
Help me finding  the right Stuff for  Motor ; propeller ; ESC  ; Battery ; .  I want to start right ahead

mean while  i am trying to build it with a 22000 rpm brushed motor  and have built  my OWN servos  with toy motors {controlled its rotation to 95 deg  with making a half circle gear cut out from hard  plastic. and use light weight  Insulation foam.}
This one will be done after my first RC plane (what ever may happen).

Donations are like water in a desert    for me  now Drool

I'm in my B-tech First year  Electrical

Learning to Fly

for  just getting your plane up in the air you would need about 120-140 watts of power (if on electric), going by the 60watt/pound rule. It is not advisable to fly at full throttle, so the wattage of you motor needs to be more towards the 200W mark.

Most of the motors at this wattage are in the 3-4 cell lipo range. Once you have the motor, the props and esc are suggested by the vendor/supplier. Do remember that the ESC is 15-20% higher than the max amp rating for the motor.
The battery you get have markings like 1600mAH 20C (just an example), you should keep the AH x C rating of the battery at 125% of the amp required. For example you need a 200W motor at 3cell Lipo - you would require 200/11.1 or 18amp on a continuous basis, keeping a buffer, you should opt for at least a 20-30 amp ESC. The battery of 3S1P 1600 mAH 20C would work out the discharge at 20x1.6 = 32 amps which is more than the 25% buffer required for the setup.

The jugaad builder

There are some cheaper Tx options available on Hobbyking. Also you could think about making models which are lighter. goflykite.com comes to mind. These kites are simpler to make with carbon fibre rods and depron. You can use standard phone batteries to fire the motor. good luck

Buying Tx directly from Hobbyking is a headache. Since many LHS's are selling Tx's, there is no point buying from HK. Depending upon your budget you should choose your TX.

1. Yes
2. A 20amp ESC should do just fine
3. Yes, what exactly do you mean by 'at all times'?

At all times
i mean that  even if there is an excess drain from the Li-po .......

and what is the difference between brushed ---  brush less  ESC   Head Scratching

i am planning to use a 25 A  ESC for Extra safety ........    Salute

will there be any problem ??  like  less flight  time .... excess heat from (Motor   or  ESC  or  Li-Po  or  Reciver unit ) ??    Head Scratching

A lipo with a specification for eg 20c can supply a maximum of 20 times the mah rating. If the motor draws more amps then the maximum that the lipo can supply then ofcourse it would overdrain it. For a 800-900g plane u are basically looking at a motor in the power range of about 140-150 watts. Now divide the wattage by the battery voltage which is 11.1V then you will find the max amp that it will draw if it runs at full power is about 13amps, now the battery shud be able to supply more than that which a 20C 1600mah can easily do. All these have been discussed so beautifully in the forum, please spend some time and read through them.

To answer your second question, in crude terms, a brushless esc is used when u use a brushless motor whereas a brushed one is used incase of a brushed motor.
