But compared to HK AXN floater the price is bit high. Hk AXN floater with 2200 mah 20c battery come to 4700. SHIKRA Option 3  Air frame with Power and Servos without battery I guess is 5600. I have seen the SHIKRA when I went to RCforall some time back. Its exactly the same airframe and dimensions as AXN Floater

Option 1 Only air frame

Flat shipment rate : Rs 350 any where in India .

Option 1 airframe only is a great offer :) .

The Price for option# 1 has been almost doubled from 1600 to 2800 since the first posting of its arrival.
http://www.rcindia.org/rc-general-topics/fpv-plane/msg49109/#msg49109

It is AXN Floater/Clouds Fly by all means. But again for people who order from HK, its a costly affair. Option 3 with full power system could be had from HK shipped for Rs 4000 including customs (Please, customs doesn't hold Foam planes, unless you are too stupid). So I people who need it very urgently or dont have Credit card, it would help to had it for extra 1800 bucks locally.

Wish it were also sold as spare Fuse/Wing/Tail for people repair their AXN or close to old announced price. .

Yash,
Its not about fooling. Mr Sai told me personally when I inquired about the final prices. He told that the price may go a little up due customs issues. He might have his own over heads and working margin to cater. It was just a FYI for people clueless what to do. Its all about working out the options in front of  oneself.
I wanted to buy FPV system. The price of the ones offered locally were a mental blockage to me and I would have never ventured into FPV due to high price. I went online and saw something feasible, though not as high quality offered locally. Here I have the Tx/Rx system at my hand.

You haven't seen the dark age non-internet era when R/C items were sold as if imported cars or even marijuana. Thankfully the LHS are becoming increasingly rational in their pricing. Some are already at international prices, rest are closing near.

for a 13 year old kid like you, there are lots of changes to be seen. this hobby getting more popular, more LHS, more option, better prices and availability. Just stick to the hobby and practice the SIM for the next flying session :D

Wow well said ujjwaana(Exactly the same thing I had in my mind). The price could go down a little to meet the initial rates mentioned. But still if somebody wants the airframe alone the deal is same price as the HK without a plastic canopy(I dont know what is a coro canopy  :headscratch: ). This will be great sell if the price goes down.

Prateek and Col Sundaram ,
Listed on E bay :

Ujjwal and Others ,
Yes you are right for those who buy the Shikra from us  we will provide  support by way of parts like fuse, Wing etc  . As far as providing the same to users of similar planes other than those bought from us would not be possible at this stage .

" CORO CANOPY " : Well it is a  canopy developed by us  for this plane which is held in place by either velcro or rubber band.

Sorry I forgot to mention earlier .
We have checked it out  with a watt meter and found the best is to use a 2 S set up ( 7.4V )  with a 5 x 5 prop so that the Current draw  is  around 16 to 18 amps . With this set up the thrust is just right for beginners and it is extremely stable to fly even in very windy conditions like those we fly in at Kovalam
We have recorded   wind gusts  upto 30 + kmph ( not a regular feature but  some days it can be gusty in summer) .

This is a question for Sai sir (RCFORALL) or anyone who has purchased a Shikra.

The current price of the Shikra airframe-only is  :Rs: 1575 whereas that of airframe+BLDC+2props is  :Rs: 3600. Now, the cost of the BLDC 'DY 2805/14 2840KV' is  :Rs: 750 only and the 2 props won't go for more than :Rs: 100.

So, why is the second setup priced  :Rs: 3600 instead of  :Rs: 2420? Is a LiPo or ESC included too?

Thanks of   Pointing out this mistake .  The listing of the Shikra @ Rs 1575/-  was wrong so it is withdrawn.
Swapnil I owe you a special gift for pointing this out send me a mail of your address and we will send you a special surprise.

I wasn't pointing any mistake sir, I just  thought you must have missed adding something on the 'included items' list of the airframe+motor setup.

Sai the Link is inactive.

I have the Shikra. This is a wonderful model and has a lot of 'forgiveness' Like its stability... easy to setup and easy to fly...
Highly recommended especially as a beginner model. Plus the price has dropped from when i picked it up.

Also Rcforallin was kind in more ways than one... in regards to shipping and also with replacements for parts that were lost in transit.

So what is the new 'low' corrected price?  :)
