I assume every ESC that sells today come equipped with a braking system? Well, it's truly an amazing feature.

Yes but it is also can be used with craft that has no landing gear so that when throttle is zero the prop can be made horizontal align with wing to protect it from prop strike.

You can programme the braking in ESC. And for quad is always off.

No. That's not true. Well, it's a quicker way to cut throttle, and bypass the rotational inertia.

I don't think you need a prog. card to do it; if you're a bit of programmer, then flash the ESC, and enable the braking. No big deal Smiley

The programing ESC with TX or by programming card is much easy than flashing the ESC 😀

Yup go for it. And share your result. And note one thing ESC which are tiny can be upgrade with firmware by using flashing as told by arvind where you can also program it. Flashing mostly used to upgrade and change firmware in racing quad Esc

Yeah, flashing is usually done to upgrade the firmware.
But you don't have to spend a penny for doing that; assuming you already have an Arduino.

Again, buying a programming card is cheap, as well. I've ESCs of different brands, so can't stick to a single card.
