Title: Things you wish you knew when you were a beginner
Post by: Husein on December 13, 2010, 04:00:47 PM
Im an absolute beginner in the world of flying. I unfortunately started the wrong way, by scratch building a balsa high wing plane, now as you might have already guessed Im stuck. A call to all the experts on this site please share your information and knowledge to atleast help me participate in a coming event (my love of flying extends well beyond this competition).

Try and contact any aeromodeller from your city. There are so many things to be explained. It cannot be done in a day.   Browse through this forum in details, loads of information here. Begin from the RC India Gems.

For IIT Bombay Aviator, i would suggest u go for some depron 3D plan! u also need a gud dropping mechanism for the payload....!

Anyway check out my team practising for IIT-B, U can build something similar!

Shreyas and team, Very nice flying and build.
All the best for your team..

BTW which campus is this ?

@Husein
As Shreyas said, a 3D would be good.
Check out Slowfly28. (but this does not have a box fuse)
