The RC portion is the toy and the body making is the hobby in my opinion. Therefore, does true hobby be told only the glider portion and the powering and control is the added part?

Then what is the significance RCIndia?

But the toys does contribute a lot more. It grows the confidence level and the troubleshooting (Specially damaged Wing/Fuse in a crash) gives a good attraction to hobby.

The advantage is the cheap & low investment fully functional toy (Lack in acrobatics but very stable flight) gives a little more information and of course sucessful flight and learn the model. Rather a first & Scratch built model crashes first may destroy his hope and extinguish the afffinity to this hobby.

Therefore, to go in mainstream, everyone should also start from it's origin with confidence.

I Think the thread is very relevant and very much required not for information but also for  starter point to this hobby for newcomers those need confidence. In my openion, catapult launch and rubber power gliders are another starter point of this hobby. But the route is for old and this thread for the future.

Thanks Admin for this thread.
Another Adition,

You may classify this again only by Toy. But an efficient modeler can use the entire electronics (Even un-programmable Tx+Rx) again in his scratch built Models.

Thanks Anwar Sir.

Another Addition about RC Ornithopter for 59$ i.e. appx 3000/- Rs.  It can be seen at ebay also.
http://cgi.ebay.com/Da-Vinci-Ornithopter-w-Digital-Flight-Control-Aircraft-/150515068415

It also an RC Toy. But can is this be included in this forum in opinion of respected sahilkit? Please don't take it other ways. I just request to give an expert opinion.

Thanks

The AXN Floater ARF at 55$ is by far the best in the sub 100$ category. http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=8359 (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewitem.asp?idproduct=8359)
Of course you'd need a Radio system and battery:
Radio + Rec 2.4ghz 4 channel 23$ http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8337 (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8337)
Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack 12$ http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8934 (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8934)
Total - 90$

Respected Martian2121,

Those are not RTF, but ARF. I have given RTF models.

Thanks
