Post by: divay99 on October 18, 2010, 08:57:48 PM
Hi Guys,   :help:

I have been flying planes for sometime now and want to learn how to fly a heli, need your sugestion as to which heli should I go in for.
What I would want :
Please suggest heli from hobbyking.com
Heli should be good for learning.
Heli should be decently sized ... something like the HK450GT(us this good for learning ?)
Please let me know what spares should I order.

Also, I have a Sim however am not able to configure my radio Futaba 6ex as I have no clue as to what inputs on the transmitter should be giing what kind of outputs to the heli on my computer screen.....

Your help would be deeply appreciated...

the 450gt is a decent sized heli to start with... pls check helifreak.com on videos of how to set up tx with your futaba (bob finless vids are good and for you the trex 450 build explains build and also the programming with the futaba but with a 7c radio, however the principles are the same)... as a beginner get extra
- blades
- tail blades
- boom
- feathtering shaft, etc.. infact anwar has a post recently on what one needs to buy for a beginner in helis, very informative so there is no point in repeating this here again
if you need any more help pm me and i will get back to you

if u are serious about start to fly i would go for a compass atom witch is sold in india and in my opinion the best value ( price-quality )heli at the moment, built like a tank and u can get it with fbl head direct , and a micro beast on the tail and u have a real good setup for not much money.
a bit more expensive then a 450 but on the other hand u will probably not crash as much do a heli that swing 425 blades is way more stable and have way more hang and much easier to c the orientation
