Title: Want to start with fpv on rc car. Equipment needed? Post by: sim_tcr on May 11, 2018, 10:40:02 AM Hello,
I would like to setup fpv on rc car. In the beginning I want to start with using small screen/tv/iPad as screen. Can some one please help me list out all the equipment needed? May be post links of each one? I prefer to buy from lhs online shops and if not available there use banggood as next option. Thanks. Title: Re: Want to start with fpv on rc car. Equipment needed? Post by: AL HAM SHARI on May 13, 2018, 03:58:22 PM A basic FPV setup:
Transmitter part - VTX-Antenna-Camera-Battery Receiver part - VRX-Antenna-AV Screen-Battery For RC cars , Sub-GHz transmitters are best. I don't know whether they are found in India. But 1.3 GHz works pretty well if you have a moderate amount of obstacles b/w the tx and rx. Title: Re: Want to start with fpv on rc car. Equipment needed? Post by: sim_tcr on May 14, 2018, 04:55:32 PM On the car,
TX - BOSCAM TS350 5.8G 10mW 8 Channel AV Transmitter - http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=9436. It is with antenna. Camera - BOSCAM CM211 CMOS 480 TVL FPV Camera - http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=9438 Battery - Tattu 450mAh 11.1V 75C 3S1P Lipo with XT30 plug - https://rcmumbai.com/fpv-racing-drones/batteries/tattu-450mah-11-1v-75c-3s1p-lipo-battery-pack-with-xt30-plug.html At the receiving end, RX - BOSCAM RC805 5.8Ghz FPV Receiver (8 Channel) - http://www.rcbazaar.com/product.aspx?productid=9432. It is with antenna. Screen - my tv screen? Battery - some 12V DC power adapter? Can you please review above and tell me if they are compatible each other? Title: Re: Want to start with fpv on rc car. Equipment needed? Post by: AL HAM SHARI on May 14, 2018, 05:20:37 PM Bro 5.8 GHz has the worst range in front of obstacles. Unless you are flying a plane, 5.8 GHz is the worst idea on a car.
Get a 1.3 GHz VTx and VRx. Camera seems fine. In the case of battery for VTx don't buy the batteries with XT30, buy a battery with a JST connector as the VTx has the same connector. You can use the TV if you want but, the range will be lost exponentially, but enough for a good ride. Yes you can use a 12 V dc supply with the VRx. And , don't get the stock antenna, it sucks. Buy a good antenna for your FPV. Title: Re: Want to start with fpv on rc car. Equipment needed? Post by: sim_tcr on May 14, 2018, 06:15:24 PM How about 900MHZ 200mW Tx/Rx & 1/3-inch CCD Camera PAL 420TVL - http://hobbyxyz.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=60_95&product_id=149
I read some where that if I am using 2.4 GHz radio in the car, above can create interference. Any idea? Title: Re: Want to start with fpv on rc car. Equipment needed? Post by: AL HAM SHARI on May 15, 2018, 04:10:44 PM It's not possible to cause an interference with 900 MHz and 2400 MHz , Since 2400/900 = 2.67 , Is not a Natural number. So, it won't cause interference.
