what is the best way to get in to rc,, fling the electric planes , i didnt find anhy thrill in it no sound and you wont get the feeling of flying, so cheapest way to start is, get a model from mr. Irshad ahamed calcutta ,its only 1800 rs , 4 servos 2000 futaba 4 channel radio , about 4000 rs a pump 500 rs, and 4 pen torch batteries. an os engine 40 size another 4500 rs. so all together 13000 rs, and the models from irshad ahamed is reaklly very strong durable models, its like calmato,painted and very steady high wing trainer.in banglore   Mr.easser is making a trainer but its not cute to see , its like a bick box fling with wings but models are very steady  and this both planes are very strong and small small crashes wont reflect in it. the imported chiness stuf ,balsa one crash finishes everything, and its soo difficult to repair. prakkat, and ershad and easser selling all props , spinners ,hyorns and all which is indian made ,its very cheap when compaired to imported stuffs, prakkat

RC plane hobbyist from Kolkata, but now in DC

Hi there, I have not heard of Irshad Ahamed in Kolkata. However, if you provide the contact number of Irshad Ahamed, then I too would like to see what he is offering for Rs.1800 and provide feedback to others on the forum.

Secondly, Prakkat can you please confirm if you meant Irshad Anwar of Park Street Kolkata?... Cause I would like to to warn you that his prices differ with every phone call... (just my opinion and not bad-mouthing a fellow seller)... We have had bad experience with this person (does not have a shop)... The prices quoted were higher when my friend spoke to him in English and asked for recommendations on which RC products  to buy. Whereas, when we called and spoke in Hindi and informed exactly what we wanted the prices were lower (about 20-25%).

L'enfant Terrible du RCIndia

You want to spend Rs.2000 n a Helicopter that will fly inside your drawing room or do you want to fly it outside? if it is the latter, forget about it. What you will get for Rs.2000 will be a waste of money.

However, for that price you will get a decent Indoor Micro heli (6 inch length approx) which will be operated through infra red 3 Ch RC. Check ebay, you will know what I mean.

Or else, hike up your budget to around 3.5 K and you will get a range of 3Ch Co Ax Helis (24 inch length approx) which can fly outdoors in still weather.

Regards,

VC

this all is ok but the post was about cheap starters and all are talking about RS 20-25000/-
Is this correct? plz help beginners to make a rc vehicle at their home or just 50% of it so they can even save more money for their next model and improve fast,they would know everything about their ride so they can controll it more preciesly than any one on planet...

Apparently you have not searched enough, even though you posted on on that thread Wink

http://www.rcindia.org/beginners-zone/can-a-plane-be-made-with-the-budget-of-5k/msg13472/#msg13472

It is all about what kind of beginner setup you want.  A long term one (especially when it comes to radios), or something quick and dirty to get started.

Hey dodo you need smaller things as well -
-->Lipo charger
-->Proprer connectors and shrink tube - depends on where you are buying from (some come with the connectors in place)
-->8 AA batteries for transmitter
-->Your plane will go no where witout a PROP Cheesy
-->since you are a beginner you will need a prop saver and a few band's

Yes it can be used with a sim. I have the 4ch version of this. I prefer the 4ch as it comes with manual servo reverse whilt the 6ch comes without it - you need a laptop to chang servo direction. Servo reverse is essential so go for a radio with manual servo reverse.
