Hello,
After a lot of searching I didn't find coro or depron source in chennai so i want to build a plane of thermocol. It is 10mm thick. So I am thinking of building an airplane of conventional airfoil the way this guy builds his airfoil . So today I am going to start my build please tell me a perfect model which i should build I can't go the blubaby way because the airfoil is different please help me I can't understand what to do which one to build really confused.

I can't build the airfoil like the one used in the blubaby because my foam is 10mm thick.

I am planning to reinforce the body by using newspaper and art attack mix (1/2 fevicol 1/2 water). Please help me

Don't wake a Tiger until you've factored the teeth

Nitesh

Everyone on RCI would like to encourage and help you.

I think I have told you this before too - find someone to guide you - IN CHENNAI. Whom you can meet, talk on the phone too, and who is an experienced flyer.

You have at least 3 reputed RC LHS in your city. Meet them, ask them, find out from them. Get yourself a mentor, go with him to the field, understand the hobby and it's science practically. If you start your usual but it's too far, but this, but that....well, n one really will listen. It is up to you to overcome these.

Everyone here wishes you well, and does not want to see you learning in a very hard way, the same way which makes 80% of new entrants into the hobby quit early in frustration.

Scratch building without having ever flown is a recipe for disaster. I'm not saying it can't be done, but the odds are against you as history has shown.

There are people more experienced than I am on this forum, check what they have to say.

I wish you all the best, and irrespective of which way you may choose to proceed, if I can help I will, gladly and willingly.

Thanks sir for your motivating words I know what you are saying I can understand it well but I would like to stand up on my feet and do it myself so I am asking this question this will be my first plane and i want to start building today so that I can finish before my holidays. As per meeting any one or going to the field or the lhs is pretty tough for me as I am an student I can't go alone and my parents are busy.
Anyways thanks sir for typing such a long paragraph for me thanks a lot these words by you and others are very inspiring and encouraging.

Nitesh, I see you ask a lot about building models from a long time and you haven't built a model yet. If you don't feel confident enough to build a powered model, I suggest you get some Thermocol or Depron or balsa if you like, and build chuck gliders. They're less expensive and not really hard to build, you can keep building and tweaking with them until it flies like you want it to, try wings with aerofoils and flat profil ones, play with CG, chuck them off a building, see how they fly. In the meanwhile, practice well on the simulator.
When you finally gain the skill and knowledge to build a chuck glider that flies awesome, you'll have the confidence to build a powered model.
Hopefully, this helps! Thumbs Up

I had posted a reply, but it vanished  Bang Head Bang Head

OK. Rotor Co In is the third. It is in the list, which you still don't refer to before asking  Giggle Giggle

The model you are referring to built by Bilal: if you can get that 6 mm material (called Biofoam in Delhi, many here equate to Depron) you can build anything.

I am currently building a Flite Test Baby Blender v2 Biplane from the same material. You can build practically all the FT models with this. Also, the modular Power Pod is brilliant: multiple models with one Power Unit. You would need a 2826 1400 or 1200 KV. and a 30 or 40 A ESC. 2200 mAH LiPos too.
